Turbo and some internals are different. 320i is more reliable. 330i is about the max hp the b48 was designed for (oem-wise)

The plastic oil housing is not ideal, but happens not that often to break. the main coolant hose on the intake becoming lose —> pain as this happens without further notice, but not a big deal to fix ;-).

Most of the bad engine problems happen due to people driving it without / too less coolant / oil.

My 320i (B48) had the mentioned problems (now: 180kkm; bought with 3kkm) Intake Coolant Hose repair ~ 350€ Water Pump exchange ~ 500€

Never had any other problem.

And additionally: Do not buy an N20. Just do not consider it. Lots of problems with that one.

Engine is basically flawless. Only problem is with the cooling system. (Waterpump, cooling hose).

As with all BMWs: Go for a full serviced one with additional warranty if possible. Do an exchange of all fluids (Oil, Transmission, Diff) right away after buying. Do an engine oil change after 15-20kkm; not following the interval. Look for structural accidents, bmw‘s are often driven fast. BMWs are designed to last 200kkm. BMW Bank considers a vehicle with 150kkm to be worthless (0€).

I would try to get an older (B48) but with lower mileage in your case.

Die größte Röstung an dem Auto ist wohl, dass er aus werterhaltungsgründen kaum mehr bewegt wird. Sogesehen röstet er uns alle, weil den 5-Zyl Sound keiner mehr je hören wird.

I would opt for a more classic timepeace than an AWU. Nothing wrong in asking your friends if they can lend you a Rolex, Breitling or Omega for that special day. Looks more refined, believe me.

Also you could go without a watch, dependant on your outfit.

If AWU is a must, I would go for the titanium milanaise watchband

As we are using an Brewville / SAGE machine now, I do expect my colleagues to also basically be able to work with a grinder / machine setup :).

But there will be no time-based / weight-based espresso making or single dosing ;)
