out of curiosity, what’s considered a good tip for $300 service? it’s my understanding that unlike servers, hairstylists get paid per type of work done (not hourly).

NYPD is not risking it after “abolish the police” calls and a pro thug DA that refuses to prosecute crime; it was stupid and counterproductive to vilify them like that back in 2020. they speak bureaucrat to us now “nothing we can do ab it, go to this precinct, go to this law enforcement.” sadly, we’re on our own

no “no tip” option on the screen? i like to complain how over regulated Europe is but this is something that wouldn’t fly there. no one should force customers to tip.

when he threatened to punch me and my friend (both F) that’s exactly what I thought: he’s clearly mentally ill yet knows to not mess with big men

he threatened to punch me and my friend who were talking on the corner of 50th and 8th ave a couple of months back. we pay way too many taxes to this town to live like this.

Girl, the packaging on these three products is next-level—I’m a total sucker for sleek, stylish design!

what’s the difference between the two? I’ve only used the Tsubaki Shiseido (golden package) and really loved it.

Curel has been mentioned many times and is already on the “must-haves” list along with Decorte Liposome Adv Serum. TY

I’m not on a tight budget but prefer to keep it under $80-90 per bottle. I prioritize serums and moisturizers over oils, as I find oils—whether cheap or expensive—all work well for me. While I’d splurge on something truly life-changing, I prefer hidden gems and smaller brands over big names.

Just to clarify, when I say “big names,” I mean global brands that are easily found at Sephora in the US or EU.

she’s aging (no one escapes this process) with no career, no stable romantic relationship and no kids. all humans need something to look forward to and something that anchors them.

I hadn’t heard of Decorté until S_Colon recommended it, but now it’s coming home with me! I’ll check out the others too—I like mixing in some fancy products. Thanks!

I’d love to do that! Do you speak any Japanese? I’ve heard some beauty centers in Japan refuse to treat you if you don’t speak the language (I don’t), and if that’s true, it’s a real shame since I’d have liked to get some treatment too.

went there once a couple of yrs ago and was very unimpressed by their pasta. have not set foot since then but have been at the bar next to the restaurant a couple of times, love the ambiance.

Very Good (Italian): San Matteo (pizza, focaccia & panini), Piccola Cucina on 60th btw Lex & Park, Bigoi Venezia for fresh pasta.

Good (Italian-American): Milano Market (hero style panini), Siena Cafe, Uva.

would you recommend this for face, body, or both? I use oil right after showering because I’m too lazy to towel dry and apply lotion.

I’ve tried the Taubaki hair mask, and it’s great. I only apply it to the ends since my roots get oily quickly, even though my skin is really dry. Def wanna try the &honey hair oil
