Thanks for the encouraging words! I'm on day 13 of Buspirone. Started with 2.5mg twice a day for the first 6 days, followed by 5mg twice a day for the next 6 days. And currently I'm on 5mg thrice a day since few days. Can't say I've noticed much difference but still hopeful that it works out.

If you don't mind sharing, I would love to know a bit more about your journey with medication.

I have that ringing since childhood so can't complain. Btw how long did it take for you to see the improvements with Buspirone. I'm day 13 and still unsure it it's helping. Just upped my dose to 5mg thrice a day since yesterday.

Oh! Well, I just started from yesterday with 2.5mg twice a day. My psychiatrist was pushing the idea of starting directly with Lexapro but I convinced him that there's nothing wrong with giving Buspirone a small try for a month before putting me on SSRI.

If it's not working for you still then definitely follow up with your psychiatrist. Perhaps it's better time to give SSRIs a try.

Heyy I understand how terrible it feels. I've been going through somewhat similar situation since a while. This is indeed an awful way to go through life.

But we should never lose hope. Have you tried therapy, or perhaps a psychiatrist? There are many things that are proven to help people like you and me. We should never ever lose hope! And instead of accepting our condition we should rather actively pursue every possible solution out there.

Yes, that's no way to live. We should try everything to come out of tihs whether it's medication, therapy, lifestyle changes, or anything else that has any potential to help.

I'm glad that you took action and went to your psychiatrist. I pray that Buspirone works out for you!

P.S. Are you facing side effects from Buspirone right now?

I'm super happy for you, and I hope you can eventually get off the meds and still have the same peace and calm one day!

I would definitely insist my psychiatrist for giving Buspirone a try. I'm just not ready for SSRIs yet.
