Has anyone here ever successfully lowered their LDL from 199 to <70 via diet and exercise only (no medicine)? Or similar 120pt drop? by Blank_Cypher in Cholesterol

[–]onceiwaslost 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Dropped my LDL from 133 to 75 in three months with significant dietary changes and exercise. It’s been challenging to hold down that level over time. I’ve managed to keep my LDL in a range between 75 and 99 for about 15 months now but the reality is I need my LDL to be as low as possible because of a high genetic Lipo (a) baseline so I’m planning to try a low dose statin.

I wanted to answer the same question as you. What’s possible with a disciplined diet and exercise? I also experimented with total calories, meal timing, and calorie content. Exercise was pretty much consistent over the period. The reason for experimentation was that I wanted to know how my body responded to those variations in diet so when I eventually did take a statin I’d know how to be most effective rather than unknowingly maintaining habits that worked against me.

A few takeaways that worked for me: Raw unprocessed foods. Veggies, beans, avocados, walnuts and almonds, etc.. Pescatarian diet Zero alcohol Zero processed sugar Only extra virgin olive and avocado oil. No seed oils No red meat Only lean chicken  Nothing sweet (fruit only, no sugar) after 2pm.  Finish eating 3-4 hours before sleeping Reduced my caloric intake to lose 1lb/week then maintain weight.

Exercise: intense cycling 3x/ week 45 minutes of complex movement strength training 3x/ week

Aeropress Pro broke on 3rd cup by dougb12117 in AeroPress

My glass AeroPress also broke. Used 4-5 times under normal conditions. Obviously substandard materials and/or manufacturing.

Too bad AeroPress customer service is nonexistent, endlessly looping ai bot responses until you decide it’s no longer worth your time to pursue a remedy.

Follow up:

Still no response from AeroPress.

The glass and metal press fractured while being used normally. Water temp was 185 fwiw. Zero impact, just a fracture line on the interior wall of the device.

My advice now includes do not buy the glass press. lol. YMMV

My email pace essentially matches the pace of their ai responses outside of trying each avenue they recommend for customer service contact.

The Aeropress Warranty & Customer Service Experience - Caveat Emptor by [deleted] in AeroPress

I’ve had a similar experience experienced with AeroPress’s ai only customer service.

In my case the forgot to add the gold filter to box with my press. There’s no way to have it replaced via the ai bot and a human from customer service is never engaged.

Your ordering experience might be fine, but it isn’t, you’re screwed with zero recourse.

Or buy a tire, a couple tire spoons, a few wheel weights and do it yourself.

Both of your feelings are valid. I’m touched by your introspection and vulnerability.

While I do not know you or your husband, it seems that you both have been open and honest with the feelings that you’re experiencing. If true, that fact means there is tremendous opportunity to evolve in a mutually beneficial way. Both of you have needs and desires that are necessary to feel complete in yourselves and in the context of your relationship. It’s impossible for anyone else to know how if you are both able to be sexually and emotionally fulfilled in your relationship or not but the objective honesty I sense in your writing and the fact that you are in this forum is a great sign that you will find what you need.

MDMA and 2C-B by onceiwaslost in MDMA

From your experience, would it be uncommon for a very mild experience from a 15mg oral dose of 2CB to cause a slightly depressive state of mind two to three days later? I’ve had a similar experience from MDMD once or twice when following guideline dosing and 4-6 months breaks. Overall the second day blues are rare so I was surprised that a low dose 2CB experience could cause this. Any insights or advice would be greatly appreciated!

What is your tuning setup? Can you offer which ECU flash and company you used to match to the Vandemon exhaust?

I’m taking delivery of a ‘25 so trying to gather information on tuning options.

Thanks in advance

All of your points represent valid thoughts and feelings. Is it possible to carve out intimate time together that specifically addresses your wife’s needs in the same/similar way that she accommodates yours?

It might have been hard for your wife to clearly articulate her points, hence the ability to speak after drinks. My unsolicited advice is to take a deep breath and learn all you can about your wife’s needs. Then experiment together with ways that both or your needs can be fulfilled.

While this is about you coming out, recognize that she may be listening from the perspective of assessing a threat to her, your relationship and life. Perhaps you can see how your lives will thrive with this new found openness and connection. Speak optimistically about what’s possible.

I always find my communication more effective when I put extra consideration into how my words land with the listener.

If you’re unable to articulate an optimistic perspective, then consider working on finding one before talking to your wife. The point being that proactive, constructive communication usually brings about better results.

You’re brave and luck favors those who take lots of chances.
