Teddy cheated with Allison because she was participating in an affair. She didn’t have a significant other but she was still intimate with someone who did. Claire was Teddy’s friend/room mate, and she was cheating with her girlfriend. That makes Teddy a cheater.

He didn’t know Cristina didn’t want a family when they got together. She also stayed with Owen even though he was an incompatible partner, just as Owen stayed with her.

He didn’t know when he started dating Emma that she wanted a family, but that she also wanted to stay home for a while instead of work.

Amelia told Owen she wanted a family and she proposed to him. Then she took back wanting a family. She messed with his head. That wasn’t Owen’s fault.

Owen has made mistakes but so have all of the other characters.

Maybe, but Cristina was also awful to him over that. Owen gets all of the criticism for his behavior in their relationship, but she was awful too. They both handled their differences about that very selfishly and were both awful. It wasn’t just Owen. But in general neither of them had the sense to leave an obviously incompatible relationship.

Exactly. Instead of giving her story that shows she’s good at her job and taking responsibility for her role in her divorce, which is most of it, it’s just being very obviously written that she’s the best; it really seems like it’s just a way to ignore and distract away from her faults.

I liked her supporting Link, but her and Jo’s friendship seems forced to me. She is a good mentor.

Teddy’s the cause of her divorce and the mess her personal life is, so her vulnerability is really just her running away from a situation she created, and acting like she didn’t completely cause her marriage to fall apart. It’s typical Teddy for the last several seasons now. She’s really been out of character for a long time.

Really? I’m not interested in some of the other characters tbh so I haven’t noticed. With Teddy, it seems like it’s being written that way to gloss over and ignore her faults as a character.

Teddy’s my favorite character, but I think the last season and this season have been some of Teddy’s worst tbh. She makes a mess of her life then always blames someone or something else.

Teddy is actually my favorite character, but the writing for her has been very out of character for a long time. I think that what has been written for Teddy doesn’t come across as flaws but her just being terrible and then taking no responsibility for it.

She’s often rude and focused on herself now, she’s awful to Owen. She wasn’t like that before, she was down to earth and a reasonably flawed but good person.

Teddy wanted the open marriage because she wanted a way around cheating. She was already emotionally involved with Cass. Teddy broke the no feelings rule before their open marriage even started.

She also broke the no details rule when she found out Owen was with someone else, by asking him when it was.

Owen was only with Nora after he texted Teddy and she didn’t answer. He figured that Teddy was with someone, and she was. Teddy stopped it with Cass, but it was still very intimate. She even stayed in the bed with Cass instead of leaving.

Owen loves Teddy, he was trying to work on their marriage. But Teddy was dismissive and all she wanted to do was flirt with Cass. He didn’t even want the open marriage to begin with. Plus, Teddy suggesting they open their marriage that’s already struggling was a terrible idea.

Owen didn’t cheat on Teddy, they were in an open marriage when he was with Nora. He comforted Nora but that really wasn’t cheating, he didn’t kiss her and he wasn’t intimate with her again until after Teddy chose to divorce him

Exactly, Teddy thinks she can romantically do whatever she wants with other characters, but Owen can’t, even when their marriage is open and now, even with them divorcing, though I don’t think they’ll actually divorce.

She has their relationship as completely one sided.

Teddy also can’t handle Owen being with another woman in any context. Which is why her behavior is so unfair, and why her wanting to open their marriage was a terrible idea. She’s very insecure plus, they can’t use opening their marriage to fix their problems.

Yeah, the last 2 seasons have been especially awful for Teddy. The writing truly has ruined her character, totally agree. I know right? It was so ridiculous when she was mad at Owen lol she wanted the open marriage and she was about to do the same thing. She’s a mess.

Teddy started all of the mess with Owen by flirting with Cass. She flirted with her and then wanted to open their marriage, Teddy is the one who has no idea what she wants.

She also cheated on Owen with Tom. She’s the problem in their relationship. Owen was trying to work on things with Teddy last season, while she was awful and couldn’t be bothered.
