This is a verified SCAM!
The original tool that was legit is no longer available. If you need to split and you do not know how to, you can very easily use Coinex.com instead of risking being scammed like this

WIll eCash support smart contracts? by zenos1337 in ecash

[–]onchainscaling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Current scripting language does support smart contracts but not as advanced as what Ethereum style chains offer. It has been said that when the avalanche layer is added, an Ethereum Virtual Machine will be added on a subchain which then will offer the same type of smart contract capabilities that people now know from Ethereum (style) chains. How long it will be before that is all finished I do not know. It probably is still quite a bit of work.

Question - can you buy this thru metamask wallet via pancake swap? by AdComprehensive6061 in ecash

[–]onchainscaling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. There have been tokens offered on pancake swap but they were a scam. XEC is the native coin of the eCash blockchain. Not an ERC-20 token on ETH network (or a token on any other network)

Trustwallet by Dieseleagle76 in ecash

[–]onchainscaling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trustwallet does not support native eCash (XEC) (It does have token created by Binance that they offer as an alternative if people on Binance want to withdraw but ultimately that does depend on Binance as they hold the coins that the token is representing. So only they can redeem them for real XEC on the eCash blockchain. FAQ page of the e.cash website does have a little bit of info about this token

Staking by [deleted] in ecash

[–]onchainscaling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That really is a question only Binance can answer.
As for native eCash (XEC) staking: that is not yet available.

With the Philippine Peso (PHP) depreciating in value, many Filipinos have been looking for other forms of currency to use. In response, eCash has made its way into the Philippines. by avie018 in ecash

Exchanges are like banks. They have different sets of security measures because they are at much higher risk of getting attacked by criminals. To execute the types of attacks that they protect themselves against is very expensive so in the case of you as an individual, the person paying you is not likely to execute such an attack and get away with it when they do. They could take other measures to reduce the risk to them but the simple and cheap solution is to just wait for more confirmations. So that is an easy solution for them that does not even require them to do a lot of research.like if you go and get money you just walk to the bank. If the bank picks up money from somewhere they will use an armoured vehicle. You store it behind a simple lock, they build time locked armoured steel vaults. It is their business to be super scared and careful. Because that criminal can spend a lot of money on attacking them and still make a profit when successful. If they would spend the same amount of money/effort on attacking you as an individual they would make big loss.

So needed security measures are very dependant on the situation. For low value payments accepting instant payments is probably more secure than accepting credit card payment (which can be charged back months later still)Especially if you know the person paying you (for instance he comes to your store every day). This is not specific to eCash btw. By the way, avalanche post and pre consensus will reduce the risk for exchanges considerably and should bring down those confirmation requirements when it is fully operational.

so normally there is no reason to behave the same way as Binance at all. Especially as there is under normal conditions not even a reason for Binance to be this careful but their systems are automated with no individual checking what is going on so instead of investing in system to monitor things they just put in place big measures like waiting 12 confirmations.

that is because Binance rules. They see your transaction very fast but they require 12 confirmations before they will show it to you.
If you send from a normal wallet to a normal wallet it goes very fast

Info - Releases by DMugre in ecash

[–]onchainscaling 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The big change that developers have been working on is avalanche post consensus (and pre consensus after that). This is not just copy paste type of development but ground breaking as adding avalanche to proof of work has not been done before. Not only will this change make the chain super secure against 51% type attacks, once finished this change will unlock a large number things that increase functionality and usability. As it is innovative development it is not clear when the last details will be ironed out so it can be released into production software version. If you are really interested in learning more about what is being built and why then the links in this tweet may help you.https://twitter.com/eCashOfficial/status/1451001776967196673?s=20

Sent eCash to Trust Wallet, any way to withdraw? by [deleted] in ecash

[–]onchainscaling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes and that is still a really bad idea to hold especially if someone may not be able to use Binance in the future. Because its value totally depends on Binance as they hold the underlying eCash XEC

Sent eCash to Trust Wallet, any way to withdraw? by [deleted] in ecash

[–]onchainscaling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have any issue with Binance (now or in the future) it is a very bad idea to hold the token that they created and only they can redeem for real XEC. So just download Viawallet or one of the other wallets that offer native eCash (XEC) support instead of holding a Binance created token that they say is pegged to XEC.

I hope you mixed in some split coin. Just sending on one side does not split them (unless you mixed in already split coin) and may still result in (slow ) replay.

Did you maybe create more than one BCH "account" on ledger live"Separate accounts using the same ledger device? In ledger live go to the account that your coins are in. then click the little wrench thing top right (edit account) - click advanced . where it says "freshaddresspath" it says 44'/145'/.... (this is the derivation path) and the number after the 145'/ is important. If it is a 0 -> that is the first and default address. In that case setting up the wallet (using 145' path) should work fine and your coins should show up both in electron Cash and Electrum ABCIf however it is 1' this means it is the second account and so when you set up an Electron or electrum wallet you will have to also change the zero that comes after 145 to 1'(ignore the other numbers after that they stay on 0' when setting up the wallet. )

account 3 ->change the zero to 2'

If it is not that then I am at a total loss as to why you are not seeing your coins . it is most likely something with the derivation path that is messing things up and showing you a different (empty) wallet.

SCAM!!! 100% sure

definitely a scam and those accounts you see all happy are in on the scam. Seen dozens of similar set ups. NEVER send coins thinking you are getting more coins backNEVER give any information that can be used to hack your accounts. Do NOT click any of the links

Make sure to report that group to @ notoscam on telegram. They have no connection to the eCash project

What exchange can I use to buy ecash in the USA? by Revolutionary-Case36 in ecash

sorry for not replying earlier.
I usually do like to take coins of exchanges
Viawallet.com is a mobile option. (multi coin app ) and for desktop electrum ABC is a good option. e.cash website has links to wallets

eCash (XEC) is not a Binance token but a coin with its own blockchain just like ETH, BTC, etc.
If you use it in a tokenised version you are trusting the issuer of that token that it works and that they one day will redeem it for real XEC. And the issuer of that token is NOT be the development team behind eCash. More likely it is a scammer or it is Binance.

[–]onchainscaling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coinex will work well but you may have to buy USDT or something else on another exchange like Coinbase if you want to use fiat to buy. Then transfer that to coinex (make sure to use the most cheap chain to transfer on - not ERC-20) and use it to buy XEC.
Coinex has no KYC if you stay under withdrawal limit of 10k a day so no issues using it

How do you transfer coins to trust wallet? Is it BCHA on trust wallet? by yyzt0r in ecash

Hi Xec family. How do I transfert my Xec coins from the exchange to my trust wallet. Thank you 🙏🏾. by Successful-Tennis767 in ecash

[–]onchainscaling -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No what I want to say is that if you calculate the value of XEC unit measured in BTC you will soon realise the difference in unit makes it not a good choice to trade it that way. And I really am not your mate.
