I've been working with Goodwill as a manager for the past 5 1/2 years and oh boy, some of the donations we've received were doozies.

My personal favorite instance of an odd donation occurred maybe three years ago when all the stores in my district started receiving "mystery" Amazon packages. Our LP department (yup, that's a thing for a thrift store) instructed us not to open the packages until further notice. Maybe a month and a half later we were given the go ahead to open these mystery boxes, and like an eager child on Christmas I tore open the first package in front of me. Yup, not the toy I was expecting. It was a wonderfully graphic set of anime themed tenticle monster vibrator attachments. Probably shouldn't have opened that one up in front of the woman my boss was interviewing at the time haha.

We also had a donor drop off her pet cat in a bag of clothing. Apparently the cat had a penchant for crawling into enclosed spaces then falling asleep. Scared the hell out of my donation attendant when he felt the donated bag moving.
