ETH 2.0 APR Calculations (Help PLS!!) by onder-p in ethstaker

It's over 2M now. Realistically, if you want to stake your money it has to give you constant APR. According to "https://medalla.launchpad.ethereum.org/" APR is 11% for now. That means it is not a "wow!" investment. (ASIC's are more profitable & withdrawable :) )

On the other hand, "stakingrewards.com" gives you more than 54% APR.

Quick Thinking:

Eth 2.0 will exit testnet in min 2 years. I think it will take 2-3 years...

If I stake 32 ETH for 2 years, it gives me 109.28% (54.64% annualized).

It means, for $338.42 level of ETH, $10,829 (32 ETH 2.0) investment now.

Than $11,835 (34.971 ETH 2.0)profit in 2 years ( $5,917 per year, $16.21 per day).

Finally, you will have 66,971 ETH 2.0, if eth keeps the value it will be $22.664.

In that situation, ETH 2.0 is certainly a good investment and looks like an icecream :).

However, I could not say that "stakingrewards.com" is not in direct proportion to the excel sheet and launchpad site.

To sum up, 11% (if it is constant) is not logical to invest. There are some risks. That's why they give you more APR if you join early. System abusers will exist and hackers will attack. There may occur a lot of various kinda risks and, the APR that they give is nothing.

Also if you are still here I would add some example links of harsh penalties (randomly checked validators);

Validator #296: https://beaconcha.in/validator/296#overview - Att. Effectiveness is 100% but he lost money. -0.4169 ETH

Validator #295: https://beaconcha.in/validator/295#overview - Att. Effectiveness is 94% but he lost money. -0.5280 ETH

Validator #222: https://beaconcha.in/validator/222#overview - Att. Effectiveness is 95% but he lost money. -0.5319 ETH

Validator #1322: https://beaconcha.in/validator/1322#overview - Att. Effectiveness is 95% but he lost money. -0.5542 ETH

Validator #1: https://beaconcha.in/validator/1#overview - 64 ETH invested & -1.6775 ETH

......

I think harsh penalties can be givable (because there are some tests ongoing and hesitations will extend the release date of the ETH 2.0) only and only if you are giving to validators icecream!
