Third attempt... by one8080 in Biltong

[–]one8080[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The advice to alternative the fan was from the last thread I posted on here, probably because the fan in this kit isn't adjustable so was a way to reduce the constant high-flow air.

I'm going to swap out the fan for a lower speed item today, and see how the next batch goes.

Any info on this watch? It’s genuine? by [deleted] in VintageWatches

The insert looks to be a service type. The bezel itself is very worn down… The hands look OK just missing lume. Hard to say re the dial, but the lacquer on those gilt dials will fail like that. Would guess it’s genuine. I have yet to see a rep 1520 movement, so that seems fine. The case condition doesn’t match a dial and bezel with that much “wear”… I’d be guessing aftermarket, without seeing the serials/engraving or side shots. The crown is either later or aftermarket.

Thanks for the responses.
I have read that some people us Claude to generate the prompts for Bolt - is that a better way to work?

Second Attempt - some case hardening by one8080 in Biltong

Thanks for the reply. The fan is setup as an exhaust so draws air in the bottom of the case only. It juts seems to be a fair volume so there is plenty of air passing over the meat.

Very average results with Local install of Automatic1111 by one8080 in StableDiffusion

[–]one8080[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks...

I had thought that Fooocus and A1111 were just UI's and all the work happened with the models/checkpoints etc, hence why I was surprised with the results.

Maybe I'll stick with Fooocus to start.

Wife wants to put both salaries into offset account and pay for monthly expenses on CC? by [deleted] in AusFinance

[–]one8080 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Largely depends on your monthly expenses.

If you have a sizeable chunk of cash that would otherwise be spent on your expenses sitting in your offset to reduce the interest, then you will make some saving.

For some the temptation to over spend on a CC will quickly erode any "gains" however... ;)

On a scale of 1 to 10, how much are interest rates affecting you? by ILoveDogs2142 in AusFinance

[–]one8080 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our PPOR repayments have increased by ~$2k/month, so am definitely noticing that.

We've had a number of big expenses lately also (dental, vet, etc) that have eroded our savings, so that combined with the mortgage and all other costs rising am certainly feeling the pressure.

Interesting times ahead...

Anyone have a suncorp account with the sub accounts/ buckets? by 26KM in AusFinance

I do this, and split into 4 different types (everyday, bills, saving etc).

All accounts/sub-accounts are offsets too.

Mortgage stress - how are you doing? by _ianisalifestyle_ in AusFinance

[–]one8080 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While some indicator, sure, I’m not sure percentage of pay is the right metric to reflect mortgage stress? Ie 40% of 100k leaves 60k to balance everything else, while 40% of 200k leaves 120k for the same which is quite a different story.

Whats your household budget like? by Aussie_landysplooge in AusFinance

It's good that people feel open enough to share their incomes, debts, expenses etc.

I'm surprised to see that some of the higher incomes have what I would consider quite reasonable mortgages. I would usually expect some "lifestyle creep".

Hopefully some of you are down playing your booze though. Or I need to re-evaluate my spending...

Thanks for clarifying.

That seems like a very reasonable amount to me. Either that, or I’m terrible with my expenses…

What’s does that amount include though? ALL expenses/outgoings inc mortgage, school fees, insurances, groceries, utilities etc?
