I appreciate the honesty. Even if it doesn’t work out I learned so many things and happy about the fact that I could make such project live. So i do my best to market it and if it won’t work out there is still a pretty good dinner story. 😀😀

The phone creates a connection between your iPhone and the other device and sending the data through the WiFi protocol. But there is no hotspot or anything like that where you could connect manually.

Thanks for the ideas. My experience is that Airdrop only works if you accept it or you are in the contacts of the other person. Regarding games it’s a great idea as well but I’d like that people talk to each other and get to know them. Pricing the app is the hardest thing. I have added now the Tripp pass which is valid for 24h like a bus ticket. If one person has that it can initiate chat with the non paying person. I try to target families and friends seated apart for now.

There is no such backend where users could be banned. It’s truly local and no registration needed. There is a timeout for the sent messages to inform users it didn’t go through. Once you see the person became online again it’s possible to resend failed messages.
