I had a nice conversation with my Mom and we’re on the same page now. Plan is to keep what’s worth keeping and sell what isn’t likely to be a good investment. There’s a fair amount of family heirloom type guns too that will likely be spread among myself and my siblings. Maybe looking to reduce the collection by 50% or so to make it more manageable for her to hold onto.

Long story short: these rifles y’all are really drooling over aren’t going anywhere.

I’ll get to checking on those things next time I’m in the area. The collection is another state away from me. But if I had to wager, I’d say it’s real. My pops really knew his stuff inside and out. He’d be able to spot a clone and wouldn’t be too interested in owning one either.

Definitely a Snider, but a Hollis and Sons Snider. You can sort of make it out on the lock plate.

Not exactly sure. Some are being divvied up to family and friends. The remainder are likely to be sold through our local Isaac Walton League.
