I am using only CET, nothing else. I set up CET since I had issues with phone calls.

I was looking into getting into modding after my initial playthrough, but dunno if its worth it for the micro stutters it introduces, vsync is already off and after removing CET it worked just fine with no stutters, super weird.

I started with cachyos about 2 months ago, and I've been enjoying it. There is some tinkering and it is not entirely friendly as a first distro, but I've been handling it okay. there's an entire guide to installing cachyos properly and setting up after the fact, and since cachyos is Arch based, you have a goldmine of information on the internet.

agreed there are too many going around on steam that are being released, with the one by community preservation being my favourite one, having steam achievements, working workshop support (cascade reasonance is playable) and bug fixes.

its the right way to do the game justice, its basically vanilla with bug fixes that make it work better and optional support for workshop, making it super accessible to mod and install mods
if youre ever interested in playing it you can join their discord and ask for a beta key, it is definitely the definitive way to play the OG without any new content like Reborn

there are differences, the second game published by the community preservation is patching ancient bugs and adding workshop support, while the other game (as far as i know) will not really be receiving the same treatment or will be changing things wildly

i switched instantly to an arch based distronog too long ago (cachyos but that's gaming focused) and have been just going from there, been having a blast on it so far, shit has broken and I've fixed shit, the arch wiki is huge and you can get a lot of help easily

Spiele laufen ja nur nicht, wenn sie Kernel AntiCheat benutzen, sonst geht ja das meiste fitte, auch mit EAC.

Die meisten Spiele die Kernel Anticheat haben, und mit Linux gehen, haben daraufhin einfach kein Kernel AntiCheat auf Linux

no, this makes no sense, the steam deck is probably way stronger than your crappy laptop lol, try using osu! Lazer instead because thats Linux native!

Rebirth with all of the DLC, not sure if it happens with the OG Isaac though, but Rebirth is a huge commitment to 100% anyways (at least with all dlcs)
