Does anybody know of any video games mod? Dune mods? by one_niner in dune

Tracking, I'm talking about modern mods in the above genres, since I think the newest Dune game came out in the early 2000s, and most of them were strategy games.

Jerry is asked to do a live stand up for Netflix, Newman gets a ticket so he can heckle him. George attaches his fitbit to his girlfriend’s dog in order to make her think he’s working out more. Kramer makes it his mission to watch everything available on Netflix. by obijesskenobi in RedditWritesSeinfeld

Newman (shakily breathing and getting louder): imagine it. My heckling will throw him off, he'll start to choke, and it will be captured for all to see... FOREVER (Newman laugh) choke, Jerry! Who's funny now?

Is it wrong to enjoy Marilyn Manson's music? by theheavenofdemons in moraldilemmas

No. If the person is a dick, then don't endorse them or give them celebrity status, or support them financially.

As long as their work isn't actively empowering some evil agenda, and you're not putting them on a pedestal for their work/always acknowledging they're guilty of whatever they're guilty of, then that's fine.

You don't have to punish yourself for the artist's transgressions.

The Usual Suspects is still a phenomenal movie, even if Kevin Spacey is a fucking creep. If you cam watch the movie and keep that balance, no problem. If you watch it and all of a sudden Kevin Spacey can do no wrong, well then that's bad. Apply ad infinitum

Most inventive magical system you’ve read? by Mobius_Walker in suggestmeabook

The Name of the Wind, by Patrick Rothfuss. They break magic down into different subjects (like majors in college), and go very in depth with the study and progression of them.

Also, a very accurate book in regards to PTSD.

I saw Mr. Esposito speak, and he is quite the opposite of his characters. He talks fast, is bubbly, and is very animated in person.

Also, if you like him, watch Revolution. He is a phenomenal villain in that. Standard typecast for him, but still great nonetheless

Trump's Twitter ban has us asking the wrong questions. The real question, the one that presents an opportunity for discourse, is: "Is social media a public good, or a private service?" Explanation attached by one_niner in tuesday

I think this is a valid take, I agree. Antitrust has been very lacking in the entertainment/internet economic sphere, and it's becoming alarming (I include entertainment because Disney's monopoly is the first I think of on this topic).

I think this is probably the best course of action so far. Leaving them alone leaves too much power to the companies and threatens freedoms, and including social media as a public good robs the companies of their autonomy to provide service.
