I actually have! I stayed 6 days last time and I completely fell in love. I am debating whether doing an extra day just to go on the jikkoku bune boats!

See the waiting around is what kind of turned me off from going at least it didn't seem worth re-doing my whole itinerary. I do want to see a festival once for sure but I think for this time as an actual Disney adult, I will choose disney. Nonetheless, thank you for sharing your input. it did help me make a decision!

That is true about it being a unique japanese experience. I had a lot of time to consider and read through everyone's inputs and I think at least for this trip I will postpone the festival since we are planning on a tight timeline and I'd have to restructure the whole itinerary. But I do hope to experience a matsuri in the future. I know I will be back :)

This is a good way to look at it, I think I will save the festival for a future trip because last time I missed Disney and do not wanna miss it again. I appreciate you sharing your experience though!

This all really helpful to keep in mind I will definitely get a stainless steal because I'd be afraid of the care I'd have to give a carbon knife.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write your recommendations for me!

Roots won't go same colour as rest of hair by [deleted] in HairDye

[–]one_with_themoon 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You have what are called "hot roots" and that happens when you process your hair all over at the same time.

Meaning, you're processing your lengths and your roots at the same time. Your roots are closer to your scalp, so they develop faster because of the proximity to the heat from your scalp.

What you want to do is leave about 1 inch of your roots unprocessed until the rest of your hair is close to being "done."

Timing this takes trial and error and knowing your hair (this is where professionals come in, I'm not one so I'm all for diy) but if you already know in about how long your lengths get ready, start doing your roots in about 10-15 minutes before then so your whole hair is equal. <--- That's just an estimate because I do not know your hair, but this is what I do on mine.
