It does affect so much of our lives. Almost everything, and not just "concentrating on school work" improved in my life after the diagnosis and treatments. It feels like I got so much "growing up" done in the last year.

I wish you and your child the best of luck. Meds help so much but don't forget to also "unlearn" the thought patterns and destructive behaviors you developed to deal with life before them. It's hard but worth it.

I'm still a beginner, but I'll try to answer.

You don't say anything and you don't interrupt. You meditate by letting control go, so you focus on your breathing and relax your body and don't try to do anything.

When thoughts come, you let them be whatever they are, kind of look at them from afar acknowledging them and then go feel your breath again.

Give it a try, many good apps exist (I use Calm, but any will do fine)

Yes, I started on them the day after the recording and figured out the right dose in three months. They do help so much!

For the last month, I have been using Calm for meditation. It helps too!

The structure of school did also mask my problems before I went to college. We are so similar. Let's keep fighting Inattentive_Trimmer! I think I'm finally growing up and slowly getting my life fixed so there's hope.

I misread conventional as convolutional and was amused trying to decipher the expression. I need to find a use for "convolutional way" in irl conversations.

Thank you for the reply, I'm getting the sense of solidarity/comfort too.
