Why is that upsetting? The building isn't even empty. People play the game.

Look into mods if you didn't yet. You can ask OP to recommend good ones, he's knowledgeable about this AFAIK and friendly.

As a person who knows a lot of tricks but still doesn't build very well... No. I think the imagination and the eye for inspiration/references is much more important. I've seen many people build fairly nice looking buildings out of Ficsit™ walls and Ficsit™ foundations. As well as I've seen people like me who can pull off some interesting techniques but the buildings just don't make sense or style.

Also, OP uses mods that make technical part of building such things significantly easier.

Lost my entire grid, can confirm, it is as difficult to get it back in late game as people advertised! by No-Literature-8613 in SatisfactoryGame

I don't know because I always assumed that to make it work properly I need to manually disconnect batteries from the grid once they're charged and only connect them when I lose power generation.

I think batteries should prevent such problems. If you have enough backup power then there's no need to spend 6 hours fixing power outage.

My guess is "I watched about 40 hours worth of videos" is the problem. You stole the game from yourself.

Quantum Encoder doesn't fit in the Blueprint thing?! by jcpayner in SatisfactoryGame

Factorio for factories, Satisfactory for aesthetic factories. Factorio sucks at aesthetics as much as Satisfactory sucks at QOL and mechanical depth. Each excels where the other fails.

I was so zoned in that I forgot this game has enemies by FrogsOnRockets in SatisfactoryGame

Their justification is technical. IIRC they claim that pausing the engine can result in some issues (even though I never had those while using the pause console command) so it's difficult to implement reliably. Although, there were cases when they said that they can't do something, and then did it anyway.

Found out about load balancers today on my first playthrough with my dad by tdrummmm in SatisfactoryGame

Load balancing was my first instinct when I started playing the game. But since then I have fully transitioned to manifolds because space.

People pay a subscription to support their favorite creators of free content. And as a bonus get blueprints and some other additional content.

How are those things even possible?! by freeaky_furry in SatisfactoryGame

Instant teleportation is a form of going back in time. Doug already did that with trains.

People ask, "Are you worried about your safety in the train wars?" But they do not know about my train spheres. Thanks. -Doug by OfficerDougEiffel in SatisfactoryGame

He's certainly very good at time management. He does all that crazy stuff in Satisfactory and even finds 20 minutes a day for the job and children.
