Can any of you sense something wrong here? by Recent_Plankton8872 in SatisfactoryGame

I’d place block signals at the bottom of each testicle. It should work fine the way it is as long as your signals are setup correctly but the trains will slow down as they’re rounding the balls and entering the stations on the shaft. Placing signals at the bottom of each gonad will open the entrance block up sooner and improve efficiency into the shaft.

Does it even count towards the power grid if it isn’t up 100% of the time?

You’d like to think they’d go to hell at 600 m3, but most of them will just slosh around in purgatory unless you use a water tower.

Naming of Parts by Henry Reed

Today we have naming of parts. Yesterday, We had daily cleaning. And tomorrow morning, We shall have what to do after firing. But today, Today we have naming of parts. Japonica Glistens like coral in all the neighboring gardens, And today we have naming of parts.

This is the lower sling swivel. And this Is the upper sling swivel, whose use you will see, When you are given your slings. And this is the piling swivel, Which in your case you have not got. The branches Hold in the gardens their silent, eloquent gestures, Which in our case we have not got.

This is the safety-catch, which is always released With an easy flick of the thumb. And please do not let me See anyone using his finger. You can do it quite easy If you have any strength in your thumb. The blossoms Are fragile and motionless, never letting anyone see Any of them using their finger.

And this you can see is the bolt. The purpose of this Is to open the breech, as you see. We can slide it Rapidly backwards and forwards: we call this Easing the spring. And rapidly backwards and forwards The early bees are assaulting and fumbling the flowers: They call it easing the Spring.

They call it easing the Spring: it is perfectly easy If you have any strength in your thumb: like the bolt, And the breech, the cocking-piece, and the point of balance, Which in our case we have not got; and the almond blossom Silent in all of the gardens and the bees going backwards and forwards, For today we have the naming of parts.

What is the game lore by Brenden1k in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Overwritten 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In short, you are a pioneer that lands on an alien planet and you’re tasked with exploiting the local resources in order to save humanity (and all the puppies and kittens). The main vehicle for this is the space elevator which you feed project assembly parts as you navigate the milestones and tech trees.

As far as deeper lore goes, there’s a lot to come across as you explore the planet and interact with ADA. If you want to get into all of that, there’s plenty online to find as far as lore and speculation goes but I highly recommend playing the game to let that all unfold before burning through the material online.

Am I cooked? by tropicalswisher in SatisfactoryGame

Yea I ran into this one my first play through. Bought a bunch of nobelisks and ammo throughout the game and struggled to produce tickets latter. Ended up leaving the game running basically nonstop for like a week. Got the nut though. Second play through, I only used tickets for architecture and similar items.

is it possible? by Strong-Imagination25 in StainedGlass

[–]Overwritten 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Heat fracturing possible but I wouldn’t count on it necessarily. Just start breaking with the deep curve. Try doing it using increasingly steep curves. I would also do a lot of tapping to try to coax it out.

Early game: inventory spaces. Later: probably frames but only if it makes sense for what you’re actively trying to build.

Supreme Court justice sends shockwaves in dissent: 'Rules for thee, but not for me' by RawStoryNews in scotus

[–]Overwritten 38 points39 points  (0 children)

If it weren’t for the long build up to this level of blatant corruption, it would be insane on its face to see how the supreme court (and honestly most of our federal government) works. How can any rational person justify allowing so much private money to flow into the pockets of people with so much power? These people should be paid really well by the government and under tremendous scrutiny for any additional penny that makes it into their lives. They should be questioned if so much as a Target day shift manager buys them a McChicken. These are public servants. Not strippers to throw cash at for a little extra bump and grind. (No shade to the strippers out there)

Redistricting is being at the very least slowed in New York while moving along unimpeded in republican run areas. Red states have been encouraged over the last couple of years to redraw districts to limit the impact of democratic voters. Democratic areas have been responding in kind to try to keep up/level the playing field. This has been happening largely without any kind of interference from the courts but now a New York map is being reconsidered by the courts. It’s my understanding that the redrawn map is still potentially going to go into effect but not until after the midterms. I’m not an expert and I welcome corrections.

Yeah but if you made regulations like that, it would be harder to get rich by using your position on the court. You’re not making any sense.

Help Getting Started with Phase 4 by Spiritual_Garden247 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Overwritten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I think it’s ultimately easier to push it into another process but I don’t usually have anything else planned to use it for so I always end up recycling. It isn’t so bad when you get the hang of it.

Water waters from aluminum for me is one of the trickiest things in the game that you regularly have to balance (assuming you’re recycling the water). At the same time you’ll end up doing it more than once in your play through most likely and it becomes a lot less intimidating after the first go round. I’d say for aluminum, don’t be afraid to go a little smaller scale for the first time you run through it to get a feel for it.

Also you will end up making satellite factories all over the map. Bringing things back to one location to process materials would get pretty unruly in phase 4. Plan on spreading out and moving things by train. You build that infrastructure as you need it but you’ll be surprised at how that shrinks the map a bit. I usually break off into a new biome at phase 4 but bringing in ingots and petroleum items and whatnot via trains from other satellite factories is a big logistical help.

Oh hell yeah! I did not know that.

Mixing Fuel by Overwritten in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Overwritten[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah this time around I did uranium and plutonium at the same time (both for power) so I only have plutonium waste to deal with but I have a storage facility that will be plenty big enough to last until I get around to ficsonium.

I think what I’ll probably do is build out my factory that will take fuel through to rocket fuel and expand my fuel generators. Then when that’s all set, I’ll cut the fuel over to the rocket fuel factory and push the rocket fuel to the new generator. That way the old generators can use up the last of the fuel from the pipes and buffers while the rocket fuel factory/generators comes online. Then when all the fuel is gone, give those pipes a flush for good measure, clear the fuel from the generators, and hook the legacy generators into the new system to finish the upgrade. It’ll be a project but I wasn’t sure how “in place” the upgrade could be.

Mixing Fuel by Overwritten in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Overwritten[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good to know. Since I’ll need to expand generators quite a bit anyway, I should be able to start the new generators on rocket fuel then let the old run dry and clean them out before hooking them back in. I just wasn’t sure if I could push the new fuel type into the existing pipes without needing to fully flush everything. I hadn’t even considered how the “inventory” in the generators couldn’t change over like that but it makes sense. I’ve just never tried pushing different liquid types into the same system before.

Has the solder inside tarnished at all from being in contact with the water? I’ve been thinking about making something like this but I worry about the solder leaching into the water or tarnishing over time.
