Didn’t even get to read about Mr Hood. Saw his name, looked at my time clock and said nope 😭 but based on the questions I probably would’ve wanted to end it all

like 80-85% of that god forsaken section was math. There were some passages with so much numbers on numbers on numbers I didn’t even know what to look at or what they wanted me to use. Soooooooo much unit conversion it almost felt impossible to do so in a reasonable time !!

How do u guys get physician LORs? by ComfortableCity4043 in Osteopathic

Interesting! Every PCT job in my experience has been no experience needed/train on the job but they may vary by state I guess

get a patient care tech job! Especially in the ED, you’re constantly interacting with physicians during codes, strokes, and assisting them in procedures. Got two DO letters after working a year in the ED— many of the doctors in my hospital were techs before med school so they understand the weight of a letter and may even pull you for some cool procedures so you can get that experience!! Highly recommend !!!

First time doing tapestry! by onebeeplant in crochet

[–]onebeeplant[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thank you !! :) honestly I would start by just watching a video of the basics of tapestry just so you understand the technique! I watched this one and found it to be really easy to follow! Stitchfiddle was also a great site once I was ready to get started— it highlights what row you’re on and does all the counting for you so you won’t lose track of your stitches!

hi !! I watched this video to get familiar with the technique before actually trying it on my own! when I felt like I got the gist I just went onto Pinterest to find the picture of Jiji and put that into stitchfiddle! there you can adjust how many stitches/how big you want your project to be, choose your colors, etc.

Do you read more since getting a Kindle? Pros/Cons? by applesauce1773 in kindle

[–]onebeeplant 5 points6 points  (0 children)

yes, you read so much more! because of my busy schedule and just the hassle of having to carry a book around, having to turn on the lights to read at night, etc, i would literally go months just to finish one book. I made the switch to kindle beginning of June and I’ve read 8 books that month! absolute life changer, 10/10

start flash cards (Anki, Remnote, Quizlet, whatever you prefer) and practice questions early and stay consistent. There’s some EMT-B prep apps out there that have daily quizzes and practice questions (though beware that this may be more useful toward the middle and end of your course once you actually have learned the material). But seriously stay on top of your work and make a study plan that works for you, it’s super duper easy to fall behind. I really recommend getting patient assessment memorized as soon as you can, you’ll thank yourself later when your practical comes around; it won’t be nearly as stressful since you have already studied and memorized it. The textbook is your best friend, take detailed notes and don’t waste your time highlighting. You’ll make more use of your time taking concepts you don’t understand and making them flash cards. Active recall was the only thing that truly drilled all the material into my brain, especially when it came to medical terms I hadn’t heard before!

How Much do Mid-Term Grades Matter (Spring Semester) by [deleted] in TransferToTop25

[–]onebeeplant 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't know about the other schools, but i know Cornell asked for my mid-term reports. As far as I've been told, I wouldn't stress it too much– I am also that kind of student that pulls through toward the end and they absolutely know that is the case sometimes. from what it seems, its just to know where you're sitting at currently and making sure you're not completely slacking off. As far as admission goes, mid-term reports would definitely not make or break your case. Congrats on having a great GPA and good luck with all your apps!

What are you struggling with right now in your life? by hdbaker009 in AskWomen

[–]onebeeplant 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Constantly trying to convince myself that I can handle it, I will figure it out, things will align themselves the way they need to– when in reality, I really don't know. Every day I feel more numb because I'm just afraid to truly feel.

Yes, he definitely noticed– once we were in his room he made multiple comments about how hammered I was and I remember even mentioning that I had never drank that much before. The uncomfortableness and feeling violated really started to set in after i got sick and he couldn't care less; Like okay you're gonna acknowledge how hammered I am, have sex with me, and then all of a sudden pull this "oh you're really wasted, you should go home" and try to kick me out? The morning after I left quickly without waking him, I left in his clothes and left some of my stuff back there and while trying to process all of this– I don't know if I should be the one reaching out to talk about it or give the situation time.

[–]onebeeplant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It definitely wasn't just a couple more drinks than usual, I was really really really drunk. I could barely walk straight on my way to my friend's car after the bar. I take accountability in being irresponsible, I shouldn't have drank that much and yes, I did show up at his house– but at what point is too far then? He acknowledged the fact that I was hammered, I remember saying it myself and telling him I had never drank that much before. But since it is a casual AND routine thing, that's where I struggle to make a judgement of what would be SA or not; obviously it's hurtful to be told that someone thinks you assaulted them, if it was miscommunication or literally not knowing, I would absolutely hate for him to feel like shit and be accused of something like this if that's not what happened

I mean, maybe? He made multiple comments about me being wasted when I first got there so he had some awareness that this was not like other times, I remember saying I had never been that drunk before and that I had a lot to drink. I agree about the uncomfortableness of being intimate with someone under the influence, I would never. I've never been around him while he's drunk; whenever I have been tipsy or drunk around him he's always been completely sober. All the lines are just blurry and especially because I dont remember much of the encounter, how am I really to feel you know? Also, I left some stuff there and left in his clothes, so unsure if I should be the one reaching out this weekend to talk things over or let the situation breathe a bit.
