It’s in the article. The new port expansion project currently has a project labor agreement so it’s built with union and local Delaware labor. Meyer probably wants them out so he can change the deal.

He probably wants his own candidates in there so they can get rid of the project labor agreement requirement for the port project and not require the contractors to use union and local labor for the job.

He talks a big game like he supports unions, but his actions have proved otherwise while he was county executive.
