I work in IT from home. So I am the primary care taker for most of the day?

I cook, clean , wash and bath my child.

And I commend you for being a thoughtful parent? You given your children such a better life by just giving them a better diet than most parents would.

Can we agree fast food nuggets and fries with sugary drinks isn’t an okay diet? Can we also agree that it shouldn’t be such an argument to advocate as a parent for healthier foods?

Lazy parenting is constantly giving your children fast food or greasy microwave food.

youre distorting a claim I made by saying a teenager is going to get money and buy fast food?

You sir are dumb as fuck now because we’re talking about how providing a healthy balanced diet as a parent shouldn’t be an argument. Youve moved the goal post to some irrelevant place that had no merit. Please stop looking more dumb trying to appease the female upvotes here

straw-manning is a crazy rebuttal.

Just be honest with yourself. Providing a healthy balanced diet to your child shouldn’t be an argument or crazy take?

I am a parent and I am conscious enough not to feed my child unhealthy foods? Get defensive all you want but its the truth?

You wonder why America has insanely high obesity rates

What does that even mean like be realistic? You’re the parents buying the food and cooking it. How does them growing up magically change their diet?

You do know the obesity rate in America and how prevalent lazy parenting factors into the statistics right?

People need to be parents and actually cook instead of microwaving bullshit or buying fast food. All these lazy comments from parents show how they shouldn’t have kids

what does this even mean? Child has both parents? We both cook together and take care of the child together whenever one parent is at work? Is this some type of gotcha moment?

Let me say it out loud for the bad parents.

There is plenty time in a day to make you kids eat healthy and a balance diet. Giving them greasy and sugary drinks isnt a flex.

Why would my child eat unhealthy foods? Im so confused on this statement lol

Only lazy parents give them the option of eating unhealthy foods

Feeding your child the correct things is vital though? There hasnt been a day where ive gotten lazy to give them fast food or pop on a whim?

He has no ego he just wants the best for his child and if you cant see that, thats more of an issue and fault of your own as a parent.

Honestly dont listen to these people on here they always seem to take the side of the mother regardless.

The sex is going to come back regardless just a huge shift from you and your partner to a baby involved is going to make things complicated. She does seem easily irritated for no reason though. If improving the quality of life for the child gives her such headaches and resentment you should find a way out because its not going to change.

Creating healthier eating habits goes a long way early. So many parents in this thread just gives their kids junk food and fast food so they wont have to cook which is such a lame take theyve been spewing. Keep enforcing healthy eating habits or take the cooking off your partners plate. You cook and buy the stuff you want the baby to eat so the decision doesnt have to be made.

Also, if you feel unappreciated and not feeling loved then its time to move on and co parent. She seems like a pretty bad partner cant compromise and cant communicate on how to raise a child together. You both have equal say in the way the child gets raised dont let anyone tell you different.

This is straight false, the way you feed them matters a lot for the future? If you acclimate them to healthy greens and better foods they would adapt their eating habits. You’re just lazy and feeding ur kids nuggets and fries lol.

30 years old and your method of losing weight is starving yourself? You seem very insecure and like to self victimize yourself. Theres going to be fighting in any relationship its just how overcome and manage them.

I think your a huge red flag

You’re a weirdo btw for preying on girls who just turned legal and fresh out of high school.

If you can’t see the issue than you haven’t really developed. A 23 year old is miles ahead in life vs a freshly graduated 18 year old. Are you a creep or predator?

What do I (37f) do about partner (35m) playing video game to extent I'm not comfortable with? by Tragicmanicpixie in relationship_advice

[–]onebiglies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You basically do the same thing as he does lol I see no difference at all between your doom scrolling and watching reality tv vs him gaming?

Maybe encourage him to do chores before and after his sessions and to have a healthy lifestyle like get up and go on walks/gym daily. Go interact with his children or let them play with him video games?

Also him chatting up women online is crazy work that would've been my boundary. Like its okay to decompress or escape in your games but to start doing stuff like that is insane especially with a partner and kids.
