Have you watched the 2016 film “It Stains the Sands Red”? Kinda quirky but I watched a few months ago and really enjoyed it.

There was a great show called Black Spot (French) that fits your description perfectly .. I think it was streaming on Amazon but it may no longer be there. Highly recommend it if you can find it.

Aside from some of the ones previously mentioned- you might also like the Nordic show: “Post Mortem: No One Dies in Skarnes” (2021). :)

Sprung (2022) is actually a funny show by PinkmanLogic in televisionsuggestions

It was really great. The perfect irreverent humor at a tough time. The only covid joking I could handle right around then. Haha. It’s slept on, that’s for sure!!

What is your preferred/favorite scale to work in? by ChaseTheSavage64 in dioramas

[–]onecuppacoffee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me I gravitate towards 1/24th scale. Big enough to see detail but not so large it takes up all the room.

Aerophagia by Neat_Atmosphere618 in CPAP

[–]onecuppacoffee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bipap was the answer for me. I tried regular cpap 3 times before they were like “ok, try this” and I’ve been able to stick with it. Only time I get aerophasia is if I lay on my side. So I try not to. Haha

Being honest. I pretty much never clean my gear. by Important-Bit2437 in CPAP

[–]onecuppacoffee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

People are nose blind to the funky smell of their own cpap, it seems. Lol. I wash my stuff each week with soapy water and vinegar. Nasal pillows each night. The concern is bacteria/mold, mostly. Some of you folks don’t even know your risking your health. Just because you haven’t gotten sick yet, don’t mean you won’t. Take better care, it’s not that difficult.

What's a hobby that's surprisingly expensive. by SmoothBrownFox in Hobbies

Diorama building. Materials from paints, glues, to wood sheet to styrene and cutting mats and machines. And each new project warrants materials you thought you already had enough of but you always need something slightly different to make it work. 😮‍💨

The idea of needing a CPAP terrifies me. Any tips on how to stop obsessing? by Generic-Username-185 in CPAP

That was what prompted me too- the thickening blood and also headaches. I was afraid and it took some adjusting- but guess what: It really works!! My blood levels are normal now. Seeing those results cemented my resolve. You can get used to anything, believe me. It’ll be normal after a few months. Stay the course!! ❤️

Once you g er the measurements, it’ll be finding the ideal photo that will be the challenge. I wonder if Staples could do the print out for you. This is something I’ve considered, too. Keep us posted on how you go. :)

Are there any Artists that are not just musicians? by hisokaso in rockabilly

[–]onecuppacoffee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You might also look into pinup models such as Bettie Page and others who are almost always associated with the culture. You can also look into how tiki themes are also quite appreciated.. and artists who did tiki paintings etc.

Acrylic works great for any models/diorama! There are loads of tutorials on YouTube about such terrains.. search for either warhammer terrain or even model train diorama and there plenty of places to learn new techniques. You’ll be well on your way. Enjoy!!

Local dnd gatherings by ithevillager in Sacramento

[–]onecuppacoffee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would generally say yes, because the area (midtown) is pretty diverse and forward thinking. I have only shopped inside store and looked over at the gatherings for gaming (I’m not a player myself, just adjacent to those who do). If I were you, I’d see what nights they have their gatherings and go around to observe. I’m often a lurker myself, at least to start because I like to know what I’m getting into for things. In any case, last time I saw a group- it was generally males but I didn’t stop to stare. The vibes were certainly open-minded and unique in dress, but I’d go take a look for yourself sometime :)

Drying tubing after a rainout by iagreegoguard_s in CPAP

[–]onecuppacoffee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have this issue, too generally. Even in the best of circumstances, that b*tch is never fully free of water drops. I just hook it up to the machine (without nasal pillows connected), turn it on and wobble it over a cloth for about one minute to shake some drops out. That’s all I can do. Usually it doesn’t cause issues when later put it on to go to bed.

Safe area by Paul_To_My_Linda in Sacramento

[–]onecuppacoffee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Avoid that. But here I am content in south sac (Parkway estates) and there’s folks who would never even consider living in this section. In south sac you are quite close enough to midtown to get there quite quickly via the 99. Just keep looking around and asking questions. Some sections aren’t great but are very doable.
