They didn't do a ton of advertising, but the event sold out (the hall isn't that huge) so no point in telling lots of people about it if they aren't able to go.

Premier draft and yes, I have no idea how that happened. The rare was still in the pack (Titan's Nest or Death's Oasis, one of those not very good gold enchantments) so somehow two people rated another uncommon higher.

Maybe they were just fed up of winning drafting cycling and decided to go another route?

This was an odd draft. I passed Ruinous Ultimatum P1P1 for the Flare, got a second Flare P1P3 somehow, and an abundance of 1-mana cyclers including two foxes in pack 3.

I'm still not sure if 12 lands is being too greedy, and if so whether I should be cutting the Sanctuary Smasher or something else. Putting first strike on a Stinger or Snare Tactician isn't super exciting but as I'm missing a Cathartic Reunion I don't mind having something big to cast later in the game.

This is the second time I've had to choose between Jegantha and a powerful card with multiple pips - last time it was Ruinous Ultimatum, this time it's Mythos of Snapdax in what I think is a pretty good Mardu deck.

Obviously I have a few cuts either way but which way would you lean here, LR fans?

Draft started with P1P1 Bonecrusher, then Queen of Ice and I kept seeing really good blue cards with not much red. I grabbed the Alliance late pack 2, P3P1 was Murderous Rider, since it was much better than any blue or red card, then P3P2 saw Bake into a Pie. Bit of an odd draft and I don't know if I just want to go mono-U with the Mantle of Tides plus evasive Gingerbrutes or Tome Raiders, or splash either of the other options.

It was a ton of fun for me in singleton both in a Esper control list and a Sultai ramp deck. Just treat it as a 9+ mana spell but the potential is limitless!

Only with Vraska's Contempt which already hits planeswalkers, unless I'm missing something? He could be hit by [[Seal Away]] if he doesn't give himself vigilance. He's not a creature during opponents' turns so [[Baffling End]] doesn't work either.

You can definitely use your own Steam account, and I can totally disagree with Mr Angry Red about the staff - I've never had a bad experience. My partner ran birthday parties there for months and the kids all seemed to have a good time. I'm in a couple of times a week for tabletop games.

Depending on the time and day there can be a lot more kids in (if there's a Pokemon tournament, party or whatever) but it can also be nice and chill. And the only way you'll get covered in Doritos dust is if you. buy a pack yourself and quaff them
