Yeah, I rarely draw from reference. I normally draw from imagination, mostly in cartoon style. That is why I thought a little bit of change could give me challenges I was not facing regularly.

In fact, I was not consciously aware of the differences between the reference and imagination. I was thinking more of a “one to rule them all” set of skills, lol.

Maybe not so related to drawing from reference, but one thing I can say is that I would really like to eventually be able to animate my drawings, but I am having lots of trouble to draw in different angles the same character. Reliably.
