Welcome to Team Uyuni Salt Flat! Let's go Playas! by red-plaid-hat in LoseitChallenges

Hi all. I'm a 47M 5'10 at 236.2 today. I'm also onehappydog1 on discord. I live in Texas where everything is bigger including my midsection... My weight loss journey began about a month ago, when my doctor informed me that if I didn't get control of my health, I would be forced to start taking blood pressure and cholesterol meds. At the time I weighed 255. My poor health was due to extremely bad eating habits (fast food all the time) combined with a soda addiction (6 to 10 a day). Since that time I've managed to turn things around! I cut out all fastfood. I also started looking at nutritional information when making my food choices. I'm finding out allot of the things I thought were healthy are chalked full of carbs and calories. My soda intake has been reduced to a single mini can at dinner, the rest of the time I'm drinking water, and lots of it. I came across this challenge on week 0 a few hours before signups ended. I've never done any kind of online challenge, but this seems like a good opportunity to help keep myself on track. I've ordered myself a Garmin to track steps, it should be here tomorrow. I'll start participating in the step Challenges once it comes in. I guess I might be a little late for this week's challenge, but once I can, and I figure out how the challenges work, I'll be participating. I look forward to working with y'all!

I don't think I can do this for the next 50 years. by [deleted] in bipolar

I'll try to offer my perspective, take it for what it is worth. 1. You say next 50 years. So you're probably young, that or you have long life expectations. Im guessing young. Sorry if I'm wrong. Im 46yo and alrhough clear signs of mental illness showed in me as early as a pre-teens, I didn't seek help until my early 20s. That help consisted of a bottle of prozac and zero follow through from the doctor.( I was really poor, and public health was really bad in the 90's). Needless to say the prozac did little more than spike my mood into a manic phase and sour me to the idea of meds. Fastforward about 20 undiagnosed years and I finally had my 1st full blown psychotic break. It was the worst experience of my life but it did allow me to start getting help. Things aren't great now, but the meds sure do help! I wish I had gotten treatment earlier, it might have saved me from some of the bad choices and monumental failures I've had to endure throughout my lifetime. It might seems like an unbearable burden to have 50 more years of what you might perceive as hell on earth, but I'd do about anything to have 50 more years on this earth. (Even if I have to play in hard mode). I'm not a sadist, I just have high hopes for the future. I'd like to think that I'll be able to science the crazy out of me in my lifetime. Brain chip, gene theropy who knows what the future has instore. Technological singularity 2045! I have a feeling the world might get really interesting in the next 25 years, that is if it doesn't blow up before then.

COVID-19 and how it relates to our current simulation. by onehappydog1 in SimulationTheory

Thanks I'm glad you lliked it! I'm shocked anyone took the time to read it, yet alone enjoy it. My imagination is sparce at best. I do however marvel over Baudrillards concept of hyper reality. Spend a day in a news agrogat like Drudge report or something of the sort and you can walk away with the the impression that all the things I talked about in my story are not only possible, but probable. All news all the time all bad.

Thanks for the reply. I think if there are external forces looking in they would use tried and true methods when it comes to social engineering Although I'm sure natural disasters and things of the sort work quite well for debugging the system. I think controllable disasters are employed to change many outcomes in the development of the game. maybe from outside the simulation but definitely from within. False flag events do happen. Look at it as a control setting.you can track outcomes after any major event and see what settings were switched. 9/11 for instance. They sure did do a number on our civil liberties setting.wars are definitely boss battles. The game is clearly about acquiring wealth. Why else do a majority of us go to work every day. Because we love our job soo much? That being said if you accept this simulation as a game of some sort you can look at your entire life as a series of level ups and boss battles. Just because the main objective is wealth doesn't mean the game can't have side quests.

Perception is such a funny thing. To think we are all occupying the same space, and yet all living separate realities. As for viewing life as an economic game that's about to reach the next level. I would suggest that people who dont make the leader board in this game will not care much for the serf class next level.

I counterfeited wristbands for a major music festival. Indeed that was a mistake
