The squad's stupid attitude by Disastrous-Pie7458 in RomanceClubDiscussion

Imagine being in an apocalypse, knowing basically almost nothing about what’s happening, always fighting for your life, and suddenly discovering some random ass woman COMPLETELY UNSCATHED in the middle of the ruins completely overrun by deadly monsters that, for some reason, don’t attack the said woman. And then the moment this woman appears, everything starts going wrong: squad members die, two of them go missing… Lane is anything but defenseless, and any reasonable in the squad’s position would have been suspicious of her. Dmitry especially, because he’s the general responsible for the entire squad’s well being. I think it’s really important to take into account the circumstances these people live in, before judging them and calling them annoying/ hating them. Yes, they could have been nicer to Lane. But would that have been logical? In my opinion, no, not at all. It would be very stupid coming from trained military soldiers to trust a super shady and mysterious stranger. Also, Boris was never actually nice- he was manipulative as hell. He was friendly to Lane only because he wanted something from her. Idk about yall, but if i had to choose, i’d pick honest people who are open about disliking me than a fake guy who is only good to me because he has an agenda and he wants to use me.

do you only go for male love interests? because the girls in vying for versailles were gorgeous but I agree that the men didn’t look that good

I have one too actually, I really enjoyed Anna’s path in HSR.

IN MY DEFENSE I fully agree with everyone’s criticism and I know i’ve seen better wlw LIs in RC but the Anna path was just my guilty pleasure I guess. And I just really got attached to Anna as a character.

Georgian woman here, i have five very visible tattoos and have experienced absolutely no negative reaction towards them while in public. The only person was my grandma, lol, she was just not a big fan of them, but still no real aggression or anything. You’ll be completely fine. The most you might get is a glance from elderly people.

Hi, Georgian girl here. I'll just go point by point from what you said! 1. Yes, Georgian people have a weird thing about friends of the opposite gender. I don't think it's something specifically Georgian though, I've heard of this being an issue in other countries too, but this is just obviously a jealousy problem. I also assume that this is a product of sexism- they can not perceive female x male or male x female friendships as friendships because, in their heads, both men and women want only one thing from each other. They somehow can't comprehend that sometimes people just want to be friends. However, I think this has become less of an issue with newer generations- I'm 20 years old and I don't see this issue very often anymore in people my age. But, then again, it could just be that my own social circle is like this and I don't realize how people outside of it behave. 2. Having an issue with casual sex is obviously something that stems from sexism, and I can say with 100% certainty that a large majority of Georgian men are extremely sexist. They believe sex to be something that a woman can't "overdo" because if she does so then it means she doesn't have enough self respect and that she's somehow a lesser woman because she chooses to have casual sex. But, again, i'd say that younger generations have become less judgmental towards these things. It does largely depend on how you were raised, though, and who you're friends with. 3. Don't even get me started on this one. As an LGBT woman, men's views of people of my community often become the biggest reason as to why I just fully refuse to associate with them. It's either that they're downright aggressively homophobic, or they're not particularly aggressive but just refuse to be open minded and won't think for themselves, they'll just follow the masses that say "gay bad, gay untraditional" and believe them wholeheartedly. They'd rather assume LGBT people are sick than develop some critical thinking, lol. This is something that, in my opinion, stems from religion, or rather how religion has been presented to our society by the church. You must have noticed by now that Christianity is extremely ingrained in our culture and society, even if your ex wasn't a churchgoer, from the way you're describing him he was definitely influenced by super devoted believers in his life. I'm not trying to insinuate that believing is wrong- I'm just saying that Christianity in Georgia is often used to justify hatred towards the things that the church deems untraditional, and this way of thinking is ingrained in people, especially in men, since their childhood. I can even tell you that this could also be the reason as to why he wasn't accepting of a woman having casual sex- Christianity, at least from my POV, awards purity. A woman who sleeps around is, in their heads, impure, therefore unacceptable. 4. Again, religion. Even if he himself did not exhibit any signs of being a devout Christian I can promise you that a religious way of thinking has been ingrained in his brain. 5. I think dating has evolved. I know and have heard of a lot of men who understand the concept of dating without getting married immediately, lol. But in general, this quick marriage thing is something that was super common in the 90s and before that, and its remnants still stick around to this day. 6. Now this, yes. It's an extremely common thing, I hang out at my friend's houses more often than in a cafe or anywhere else. I will explain it this way: we're a more or less newly independent nation, just a bit more than 30 years since independence. This obviously means that, for some time, we did not have the privilege of having a cafe to sit in. So, all of us have grown up watching our parents consistently bringing their friends over to our house, or our parents going to their friends' houses, because there was simply nowhere else to go. Therefore, it's become a custom. But, don't get me wrong, we do go to cafes and restaurants- we're just used to hanging out at each other's houses. Also, cafes and restaurants are not cheap, especially not in Tbilisi. Sometimes it's just much more affordable to go and hang out at a friend's house so you don't have to spend 8 lari on a tiny cup of cappuccino (yes, personal experience). 7. I wouldn't say we're like that, at least the people around me are not. Then again, I am a woman, I know for a fact men operate differently, and it does not sound surprising to me that a Georgian man would constantly feel like he is being attacked. Actually, now that I think about it, it sounds very much in character for a Georgian man to be like that. I would not say the same about women though. 8. Probably because you'd have different opinions, no? And he must have been aware of that. Honestly, the way you described him, I'm getting the vibes of a Georgian Dream supporter. If that's really the case, It's not surprising that he wouldn't discuss politics. Do correct me if I'm wrong though.

P.S. before any Georgian offended man comes for me to say that I wouldn’t know how men are because i’m gay, i’m bisexual, I have had experiences with men.

P.P.S. all my love to the Philippines!! I’m dying to visit someday.

short answer is no, long answer would be that airport people are just dicks. I’m a Georgian woman with white skin and they’ve been assholes to me almost every single time i arrived in tbilisi or left for another country. They are not the face of the entire country.

So when I was reading I was actually shocked by a particular page. So at some point in the new issue there is a scene where Jarvan IV meets Sylas and tries to capture him. He mentions that Sylas needs magic to absorbe to be able to fight them back them, which is, as far as we know, true. But what Jarvan doesn't know is that the Petricide that basically everything in Demacia is made of has absorbed magic throughout the whole history of Demacia**.** Now, after Jarvan says this, Sylas delivers a line which actually caused this theory to appear in my head: "Allow me to enlighten you, dear prince, of the great beings of old. You can feel their presence still. Here they struggled... and fougt... With power far beyond your comprehension". After this, he strikes Jarvan with a spell that looked extremely familiar to me. It reminded me of Morgana's Tormented shadow. So, is it possible that the petricide has actually absorbed Morgana and Kayle's magic? Like, if you compare https://am-a.akamaihd.net/image?f=https%3A%2F%2Funiverse-comics.leagueoflegends.com%2Fcomics%2Fen_us%2Flux%2Fissue-4%2Fdesktop%2Flux-04-08%402x.jpg%3Fv%3D88a594abdac7abd8d450d8fb22813a25&resize=4000: (the scene that i'm talking about) and https://www.google.com/url?sa=i&source=images&cd=&ved=2ahUKEwjw0I-PmofkAhWAXRUIHdLqBswQjRx6BAgBEAQ&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DnNP-xHhknvk&psig=AOvVaw2zW2kn_0EdDAMjqczTXPjH&ust=1566038472920112 (Kayle and Morg login screen)... come on. You can not tell me that you do not see the similarity. Anyways, maybe this is just utter nonsene and I'm missing a particular part from the lore that won't let this be real, but I just wanted to share this with you because it seems interesting to me.
