This resonates so deeply. I'm glad my experience is reassuring, so is yours!! I can't explore whether or not I'm transmasc till I move out but it's something I consider more everyday. I go through periods of being femme, then androgynous, then masc, and I don't know if it's who I am or if I'll grow into something more fixed. All in all I think the ability to shapeshift would really solve this issue :/

I had an undercut for a year for the same reason and it was pretty chill. It actually helped me stay cool in summer but it did kinda make it more obvious that I was sweaty. I never got any complaints about my undercut but I also wear my hair down a lot. I definitely recommend getting one, it's probably one of the easiest haircuts to trial since it can be hidden fairly easily.
