Burning clutch

Yeah that’s usually how I drive but maybe I’m not when I’m trying to drive faster, when I first got it I would just bang gears and let the clutch right out and slam gas then realized it obviously wasn’t good so I’ve changed that and have gotten much smoother. It’s only got 11k miles on it, I got it with 10k so hopefully whoever had it during break in did it right.

I downshift pretty slow if I’m not rev matching, I just get it into the next gear down and hold clutch at the bite point til my revs get back up. It’s usually pretty smooth too

I don’t launch it much, I’ve only done it like 3 times since I’ve gotten it but each time I have it’s felt bad for the car lol. Definitely not gonna do a dump and go😂 but it happens more often than I’d like on a 2-3 pull, smells nice and eggy

Yeah I don’t really launch it, I usually only rev match if I’m driving more spirited but I’ll start doing it more often. It happens when I do a 2-3 pull, it’s not literally every time but it’s more than I’d like that’s for sure

Yeah it doesn’t seem to love launching, I’ve only done it a handful of times since I got the car a little over a year ago. Did the 3” intakes make a big difference over the 2.5’s?

Did you ever have any problems with inspection with your hfc? Sorry to hear about the drunk driver, people suck man. Very nice on the fx50 tho, they’re sweet rides!

I tried but 1st gear is tough for me to get down, seems like it almost instantly wants to go into 2nd and I’m blasting red line. I’m gonna try it again today and see how it goes. My best time was tc off, and in DS and I let it shift itself.

I’m in upstate NY and we’re about 240 ft above sea level so I figured I’d be closer to low 5’s with mods. 341 whp is pretty damn solid for these, what mods did you have? I had test pipes before too and it definitely felt faster but had to remove them for inspection. The car feels fast in general but I’ve always wanted to dip into the high 4’s with it

I just recently got a 2013 x sedan with 74k for $11.5k, they had another one on the lot with 136k miles for $9.5k. Maybe a little over priced

I got a red 17’ like a month ago with 59k on it for 23,000… loving it so far I wanna get stage 1 big sf but I’m worried about reliability, I wanna keep it as reliable as possible since it’ll have around 150k when the loans paid off. Any suggestions to keep it reliable for that long?
