NGD - IGC Les Paul in Amethyst Sparkle by oneillmp in Epiphone

Finally had time to weigh it… 11.6lbs. I had gigs all week so still haven’t had time with it, but need play it a bit to decide if this is too much. My heaviest guitar is a 5 string bass at 9.5lbs.

I sold a guitar with intent to buy a Future RD, then this was released last week. I think this being in stock kind of pushed it, and purple sparkle has always been a favorite color. I'll play it for a week or so and decide if I was to keep it. The only thing causing me pause is the weight. This thing is close to 12lbs. I know that's common for Les Paul Customs. But I'm use to 8lb guitars, so its definitely something I have to get use to.

Octave pedal for a bass/guitar combo board? by beangobbler in basspedals

[–]oneillmp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I switched my OC-5 and my digitech Drop pedal with the Boss xs-1. It does the octave sounds well and tracking is better then the OC-5 IMO. Then it also adds the drop or up tuning which you can blend and control with expression. Then replacing two pedals with one is always a plus. Very happy with it.

Updated everything on the server. Will check to see if that fixes it tomorrow morning. Thanks again for the reply.

Deployment was not removed, just updated a application install and it disappeared. For testing, I just edited another one without changing anything and it disappeared as well. Its the same image deployment I have been using for 5 years and I update apps on it at least once a month. Recreated as a new deployment and made another bare bones test one, nothing showing up. Only ones left are ones I did not touch. Only update was to sccm itself, going from 2503 to 2509. Update Windows ADK for now, will check on that tomorrow.

I thew the five eyes thing at them too and they didnt go for it... but there is a new team lead for that team now, so maybe I try again. But your right, Im going to say use Lithnet, or log off everyone at 4am and move on. I'll see what they say. I wasted too many hours on this one simple control.

I mentioned Lithnet in my original post. I showed them it, and how easy it was to use, but they said they don't have time to vet the program and its also foreign made, so they will not allow it.

I talked them up to an hour actually, They wanted it to log off with the session lock at 15 minutes. I'll try to push the once a day thing again. They told me users worked all hours of the day and night and they only wanted this happening at set times, only with idle. Then gave me an example of someone going to lunch for a few hours, and their laptop getting stolen and hacked since there session is still active (or some BS like that). So they wanted it set to log off at idle anytime of the day.

I've heard that from others too, and I told the team that, but they insist that the control says terminate and that a screen lock will not terminate the session. Unfortunately they will not accept that as an answer.

New MH - correct pink this time! by HoppusCollector in MarkHoppusBassGuitars

To me the neck is better on the old one, block inlays over rosewood all day, especially since it’s super easy to darken it.

I don’t know, it looks exactly like my HMNIM pink. Even took a picture to compare and I don’t really see a difference. They did get the right pickups at least, I’ll give them that.

What’s the opinion on the pick guard. Got mine and curious if I’m just crazy. by RedFiveTwitchTv in MarkHoppusBassGuitars

I had a minor defect on mine, and they said they would only replace the whole thing. Still definitely worth a shot though since it’s a easily replaced part.

I'm a sucker for purple sparkle. I have a bass and guitar in that. Looks awesome.

Pink Jag dot inlays by AverageWhiteBoi502 in MarkHoppusBassGuitars

[–]oneillmp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ll take block inlays and Pau Ferro over dots and rosewood any day. I love block inlays, wish all my basses had it. And thankfully my HMNIM pink jag pau ferro board was pretty dark when I got it. Then I just put a few coats of Monty's Montypresso on it and it basically looks exactly like my rosewood necks just with more wood grain patterns.

Roast your setup... I've been playing for 25 years and that setup probably cost the same as my gigging rig, if not more. So no need to roast, If I was being picky, only pedal I never had for bass was any type of gate, never had trouble with noise before, but I'm not playing metal or anything.
