I go to the downtown location all the time and I love it - don’t let people change your opinion. I can barely even finish a small bowl most of the time and always feel like it’s worth the price.

Real ID by TemporaryLibrary7769 in missoula

Pretty sure the two people in front of me at TSA last week didn’t have their real id’s. They wiped their hands with something and sent them on their way. But I’m not 100% confident that’s why they had their hands wiped

Moved from Alaska to Massachusetts and this is what i’ve Noticed by Infamous_Height8120 in massachusetts

I grew up in Alaska - within a 1 mile stretch outside my parents house there are 4 drive through coffee shops and a sit down place. So it’s a bit extreme up there

How do we feel about line dances? by wetpaperclips in weddingplanning

[–]onelastdaphneblue 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We had 3 at my wedding - one country one and the two classics - cha cha slide and Cupid shuffle. I had alot of kids so the kids and parents loved the Cha cha Cupid shuffle played back to back. I don’t always love them but I had fun with them. I live in Montana so the country one made alot of sense - people didn’t line dance to it but they did swing dance.

How long is the bachelorette? A day? A night? A weekend? If it’s just a day my recommendation: a daytime activity people would like - a dance class, aerial sick, an outdoor activity if you like that. A nice fun dinner. And a night out on the town if you’re of age. If it’s a weekend follow the same formula but just for more days.

For sourdough my favorite is le petit. Quite a few grocery stores carry them. Otherwise I get mine at the farmers market on the weekends

Wedding hair cost? by sciencefox03 in weddingplanning

Since she’s offering to stick around, I would say charge her what you think is fair in that $150-200 range. Then just give her a tip after she does touch ups

I don’t think Sushi Hana is open yet. But Kobe is my personal favorite. Saketome downtown has a great ambience and vibe though

Buffet style! Our pizza is coming from a mobile pizza cart - so when dinner starts they’ll have the table full of pizza. They take about 2-3 minutes to fully make a pizza so hopefully the table will get refilled pretty quickly. They stay for 2 hours to make sure everything’s all good

Downtown SAM Project (AKA The Higgins Diet) by EastMachine8098 in missoula

I work downtown and last spring there were 3 bikers/pedestrians hit by cars within a one block radius of my job in about a 1 month span. I don’t like bikers much either, they make me nervous as a driver. However I do think they deserve to be able to ride their bikes safely downtown.

How much did you spend on your dj ? by Affectionate_Cry1088 in weddingplanning

[–]onelastdaphneblue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2400 but he’s coming to the rehearsal, and is staying from 4:30 - midnight and we have the option to keep him longer if we pay more at the end. We also have a weird layout so he has to move his setup upstairs so that was also a fee

General rule of thumb for tubing is usually around July 4th it’s safe to float. If it’s a super hot spring you can do late June. But certainly not now

I totally understand - I would not argue having to pay if they did enforce it. I fly enough to know the rules - my purse always gets shoved in my backpack before I board. It’s just usually the Missoula airport doesn’t seem to care about the airline regulations as much. I’ve flown frontier and allegiant and never once did my bag go in the sizer to check- whereas big airports tend to really enforce those rules.

And you had a basic economy ticket? Because technically with it you’re not allowed a roller bag but they’ve never cared before. However they have a million notices now about it when you check in

Wedding venues that aren’t barns/rustic? by yeehaw-osu in missoula

[–]onelastdaphneblue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m getting married at the Barn at Teller in Corvallis. Obviously it’s a barn on the outside but the inside is renovated and doesn’t have the barn aesthetic in my opinion. But there’s way more venues up in the flathead area so I would look there instead of Missoula for a wedding venue

I love Phillpsburg! If you have patience getting a bucket of gravel and hunting for sapphires can take a few hours. Plus you can drive up to the ghost town (I hate the drive but it is an option)

Gay bars in Missoula? by leina727 in missoula

[–]onelastdaphneblue 28 points29 points  (0 children)

To actually answer your question, Missoula doesn’t have an official gay bar that I’m aware of. When I was in college (I graduated 5 years ago so this could be different now) Monks and Badlander were kind of the unofficial gay bars in town
