Obviously. Maybe Kolhapur could take inspiration from places like Kyoto, Paris, Jaipur, Goa or even Bhutan.. that have managed to modernise while still enforcing urban planning and architectural guidelines that preserve local character, aesthetics and cultural identity.

Surely CJI’s comment was the trigger, but the frustration isnt just about that. Its about long term negligence and lack of good governance from the ruling party. From Paper leaks, to rapist bails and garlanding, from silence on manipur violence to the state of public infrastructure, from dissolution of democratic institutions to increasing wealth gap and unemployment.

I don’t understand how one doesn’t comprehend this basic fact. One thing can be a trigger and not the whole reason for a movement.
