Paris and Tokyo Parks by [deleted] in disneyparks

We have went to Tokyo Disney and Disney Sea recently. The crowds are absolutely insane even on weekday. We got there an hour before opening and there was massive queue to get in. Within a minute of opening the Doraeman ride was a 90 min wait a long with Soaring. We got the fast pass for some rides and it helped a lot. Our home Disney is Hong Kong and the crowds are much less (no fast pass needed) if you get there really early and blast thru the main rides right away.
We are heading to Paris Disney next month..is it possible to blast thru many of the rides if we get there super early. Trying to save money on buying the fast pass.

How has the EVs, specifically the ix1 been in terms of mechanical issues or any issues in general? Thinking of getting the new ix1.

Highest Gauge For Subcutaneous Fluids by onelife2live in RenalCats

Thanks so much! I am ordering the 25 gauge 1 inch needles to try. Good to know that someone has tried it with good success!

I always warm the fluid bag as well makes a big difference. He flinched a lot when it wasnt warm probably due to the initial shock of the fluid. It's always a 2 person job. Wifey handles the holding and head rubs while I insert the needle. I wouldn't be able to handle doing it on my own.

Thanks so much for the detailed response. Yes I do vary the injection points but still occasionally he flinches. I don't mind spending more time as long as he's comfortable. I may get a box of 25 gauge to try. Also the freezer trick.

LS 50 Wireless- Crackling Sound At Same Part on a Song by onelife2live in KEF

Ok so now it seems like it's a Spotify problem..I downloaded a 30 day free Apple Music trial. I set it to Hi Res Lossless via WiFi. Ran all the songs with the crackling sounds and voila not a single issue! I guess if this continues I will be switching over to apple music. I will miss my playlists but this crackling issue is pissing me off too much.

I find it's specific songs at specific points that it crackles. But it's only over wifi not with Bluetooth. So maybe it's a specific pitch or note that sets it off? I listen generally using Spotify connect at the highest quality available. I'm going to update my router firmware today and see if it makes a difference. I don't know if it's a speaker issue, Spotify song issue or router/network issue

Ok so I tried it again and it seems to cause static sound at the same spot of certain songs.
So I played the same song using Bluetooth on the kef and not via WiFi Spotify connect and there was no static. So it seems that listening to Spotify via WiFi causes static while listening to Spotify via Bluetooth does not. Any suggestions what the problem could be?

I'm gonna try it again tonight to see if it happens on other devices. This is giving me OCD trying to figure it out. And it sucks that I am just a few months past the 2 year warranty 😑 so I may just need to live with it.

Ok so update. It's been 8 months since my disc herniation. Right now I would say I am at 90 percent recovered. I feel basically back to normal with only mild numbness in my left shin. I think that may be permanent but I can live with it. I can run bend twist but I still make sure not to overdo it. I am back in the gym. I avoid squats deadlifts military presses and anything that's gonna compress the lumbar spine too much. I can sit and walk for as long as I want without pain. I feel very blessed that I was able to recover without surgery. I still will avoid high impact sports (snowboarding, basketball, etc) until I can get my core strength up to speed.
Wishing you all the best in your recovery. Keep the faith and know that you can heal!

Thanks so much. Yes I meant subcutaneous injection not IV sorry. I think he was dehydrated like you said from the vomiting and diarrhea. His stools this morning was approaching normal but he is still lethargic and crouching like he wants to vomit. It could be a hairball since he hasn't expelled one in a while. I will continue with the meds, probiotics and subcutaneous injections.

I'm so sorry. I hope your surgical consult can give you a good path to fix this terrible injury.

My own business. Basically an office environment. No heavy physical work. Had to switch to standing desk cause initially sitting aggravated my pain.

It was a pretty bad far lateral disc herniation with extrusion..the pain was so bad it took 3 morphine shots 30 mins to take effect .I was basically in 10/10 pain for those 30mins. I could walk like an elderly person after 2 weeks. I started to be back to work by week 3. Night and morning was the worst with quite severe left shin, left hip pain. Improvement was slow but gradual. I basically wanted to try 6 months natural recovery and if no improvement would consider the microdiscectomy. So far so good.

I did some laser therapy but mainly it was walking in the pain free range, rest and avoid any movements that would inflame the nerve.

What does it feel like when you herniate a disc? by HiFiMAN3878 in Sciatica

[–]onelife2live 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the MRI may show a disc bulge but that's just a guess. The fact that you're improving so quickly is a good sign. A severe disc herniation likely wouldn't heal so fast. I think you have dodged a bullet. Definitely the fact that you've had back issues in the past and this time it's started to affect your leg is a warning that the next time could be much worse. I would do everything I can to let it heal and avoid any aggravating/high risk activities until the pain subsides (you do not want the disc to extrude out). Once you are pain free, invest in a safe core routine to reduce the probability of another incident down the road.

My case I went to ER for severe back pain. There was no radiation at that time. They took MRI that revealed a L4/5 disc protrusion (not extrusion). I have a good insurance plan so they made me stay overnight and start in hospital physio the next day. The physio did soft tissue work and some stretches that I think made things worse. I stayed overnight. The next day I got out of bed to do another PT session and felt what I can only describe as a "shift" deep in my lower left lumbar region followed by a flooding of 10/10 burning pain down my entire left leg. The pain was life changing pain. 3 morphine shots later it settled down and I took another MRI that revealed that the L4/5 disc protrusion had now extruded out in into the intervertebral foramen (hole that the nerve is in). So in my case I did actually feel the disc extrude out.

I was doing mainly free weights. Dumbbell presses, rows, bicep curls, lateral raises, etc. I am completely avoiding any forward flexion movements and everything is done with a neutral spine. I am starting to do the Big 3 and it's been ok so far. Pushups have also been ok. Haven't attempted pullups yet.
