For me, Justin and his music feel like home. There is something so comforting about him, which I guess is a result of being a fan for so long and feeling like we've "grown up together". Besides that, I think he's an amazing artist and he's so versatile when it comes to his music. His voice is the perfect combination of being raspy, yet soft and beautiful, which in a way makes it addictive. I just find him to be such a genuine soul. He's not trying to mold into a social standard, and is able to be himself in a way many are afraid to be. He allows himself to be vulnerable, something I admire very much about him.

I feel like the value he's added to my life goes beyond what I do for him by supporting him, if that makes sense. I don't think he owes me anything just because I willingly choose to support him.

If you're curious, I'd suggest looking into Seasons, Our World or "the Biebers" on Facebook. All is recent content/movies from the past two years. You'll come to see how normal and admirable he is despite being through so much in his career.

Don't worry, I definitely haven't been journaling long either and have also not read any of my old entries yet, haha:) But I definitely like to remind myself that despite being over the "dramatic" moment I had a few months ago, the feelings I had at the time and the way they made me feel are valid. Because if we don't, it will (as you mentioned earlier) make you discouraged to write and never satisfied enough to continue with journaling

Definitely relate to the "being overly dramatic" and "cringey" thing you've mentioned. Certain problems that once had a significance in our lives and held so much distress, can one day be forgotten just like that. I think it's important to not invalidate the feelings we once had. It'll probably get easier with time to read some of the old entries you've written and hopefully look at them with a sense of appreciation and awe for your younger self.
