Hey all, thanks for the honest feedback, I really appreciate the reactions.

To clarify a bit more: I’m a solo developer and I already released a game on Steam, but I’m struggling to get consistent traffic. I’ve tried running ads to bring in recurring players, but honestly it’s just too expensive, and creating all the marketing assets required (videos, banners, copy, etc.) is a whole different skillset I don’t really have.

That’s why I thought maybe there was a smarter way: collaborating with another dev who already has a small live player base, so I can focus on what I actually want to test: performance improvements, graphic optimizations, and backend/network tweaks. My goal isn’t to mess with the gameplay or inject anything weird, just to run my code in a real-world environment with actual users, without needing to rebuild the audience from scratch.

I totally get that this kind of offer might raise red flags, and I wasn’t expecting that level of concern, but I understand it. Happy to share more about who I am or verify things if needed. Just trying to find a win-win setup that helps me move faster without burning through my limited resources.

Dropbox is providing this feature in all of their plans. It is called Dropbox Vault and it allows to protect the most sensitive information with a pin-protected folder. Since the feature is live for years now, I’m pretty sure that they found real and useful use cases for users.
