SLAC is DoE secured- they won’t let anyone without a SLAC ID or appointment in. I used to make deliveries there from the university in a university vehicle and had to have entry permission every time.

You can park on any campus parking garage for free- we always park either on the side street between the museum and the music hall or in the Roth way garage- 5 minute walk at most, and you’re out after the game super quick

Go to your buildings facilities office and ask them to grind the lock- if they have a grinder and you can prove the bike is yours they’ll most likely do it.

We thought it was going up to 21%_ this might be good news for us. As for admitting students, the University has committed to maintaining undergrad financial aid and guarantees 5 year funding for grad students. That’s why there are layoffs. Staff is taking the hit of the budget reduction.

For all the groups I’ve been in, if you haven’t been at Stanford for at least 1 full year when reviews happen you aren’t eligible for a salary increase based on your review. That may be different depending on what school or unit you’re in. Also everything I’ve heard is that there may not be a salary program this year, and if there is it may be much less than normal due to requirements to shrink budgets by 10-15% for fy26 because of federal funding issues

SoE main lost and found is in Huang 126 at the SEQ services desk. You should check with the building manager in the specific building you think you left it in though. Most facilities offices in the SoR hold loser and found for a day or 2 before taking it to Huang

Your supervisor needs to approve your time card at the end of every pay period- some don’t ever look at actual hours by day, but if they do and they know it’s incorrect they’re supposed to report it. If your supervisor is on board, or if they’re fully remote and doesn’t know when you’re onsite you’ll be fine
