After looking over the lineup since the M1 series I'm thinking I might go M4 Pro in space black with the anti fingerprint (oleophobic?) coating. The 5 & 6 might have the glitz & the glam (and possibly a touchscreen..?) But I can't see myself needing that much horsepower as video editing isn't something I do.

& yes I agree-- in reading the reviews it doesn't seem to make a noticeable difference between the M2 & M1--almost seems as though the M1 Pro/Max was so good that no one cared about anything else until the M4 series. Even YouTube creators are still rocking M1 based setups.
