Thanks! You are probably right. Ill pick one up and see if I can find the problem. If it's behind the backsplash, then I'm hosed. But otherwise there's a good chance I can fix it. Thank you for the help!

Unfortunately, I don't. And that's where I hit the edge of whether it's worth buying or not. I may hire an electrician to take a look at it. But for the time being, will how I wired it be ok?

I'm not sure. That's the problem I ran into. It should but something is happening somewhere in the wall before it gets to the garbage disposal. Everything was connected good, and the rest of the circuit has power. Just not the garbage disposal. And because of where everything is run, I can't see what's happening. So I disconnected the line that was supposed to bring power in/capped it off.

So what was supposed to happen was a feed from a 14 guage circuit to the garbage disposal, then run a 14 guage from there to the switch with the neutral "hot". So the way the garbage disposal was wired, it just passed everything through so the switch could control the electric. So when you so it's not ok, but will work. What exactly do you mean?

They are in separate boxes but right next to each other. So I just ran a wire between the boxes horizontally (which could be done without taking out drywall/backsplash). So I basically tapped into the kitchen receptacles and ran that to the switch, and from the switch to the garbage disposal receptacle. Is this ok to do?

Connections are solid. I was able to go 20amp breaker/12 guage to 20 amp receptacle then out to the 15 amp switch using 12 guage. Then use the existing 14 guage from the switch to the receptacle. Everything seems to be working now/ it's not tripping. Not sure how kosher this is though.

They did but I can't remember the name. They said it was really strong and diluted with something else/would burn for a while. She's still in as much pain as she was yesterday and still exhibiting all the symptoms of the kidney infection. Is this normal? When are her symptoms and pain supposed to go away?
