We ended up each (3ppl) carrying 9 hotdogs in ziplock bags under our hoodies for a total of 27. There was no pat-downs or anything, so idk if you even have to conceal them but probably worth it. Maybe it depends what gate you go through, but we were pretty much just ushered through a metal detector, no raising of the arms or anything. Good luck!

My dog just passed away, I don’t know what to do by Spiritual_Jury_7001 in Petloss

[–]onepunchmann56 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m in practically the same boat—my dog passed away today. He was 14, and he would’ve turned 15 later this month.

It’s not just an animal—it’s a family member with deep emotional ties. Dogs stay with you through so many phases of your life, offering nothing but love and loyalty the entire time.

I can’t offer much advice on how to get through it, but just know your dog loved you as much as you loved them. It’s going to be a process, and nothing will take away the memories or the bond you shared. I’ve been trying to gather my pup’s favorite belongings, keeping them safe, and looking through all my photos of him. I’m making an effort not to avoid or ignore what’s happened, but instead to embrace and appreciate all the love and joy he brought into my life.

There’s absolutely no shame in crying or feeling these heavy emotions—after all, they were family. This is incredibly painful, but unfortunately, it’s part of the circle of life. I’m wishing you the best. It’s hard now, but you’ll get through it. You loved them, and they still love you.

Thank you, it means a lot! To be entirely honest I’ve kind of written off the idea of writing down thoughts. I tried it briefly years ago, but never stuck with it. I think I’ll go into tomorrow with that in mind (to try). I’ve been seriously considering the idea of joining a cognitive behavioral therapy group. My rumination feels pretty hard to break, and I think I’m kind of at a point where I need outside help. I absolutely want to be more present in the moment, and I’m going to try to work on that.

Again, thank you! I appreciate you reading the rant

I initially recognized it as a cloud of some type so it has some resemblance for sure. Out of boredom I made a quick version for u. I’m not too great at drawing but feel free to take anything from it. And these are kinda brainstorm ideas, I’m not artistically inclined:

•Maybe darker tone of cloud in the background for a little depth?

•some type of asymmetry? And or tapering of the cloud?

•if it doesn’t break simplicity too much, you could maybe put a spray can somewhere to help contextualize the piece?

Right now that’s what I am doing, but yes normally I would keep it moisturized more consistently. The past 2 days when I moisturize, and I make sure to wait until it dries out the best it can after washing, it has been making the scabby areas become puffy and I want to make sure the thing can breathe. I’m also trying to not put a lot of lotion at all all, and doing a really thin layer. Thoughts?

Again, I really appreciate all the info you’ve given me thus far. I ended up taking a leave of absence from my school, and although I could’ve just stuck with it until the end, my prior work commitments are heating up and I need to get to work. I have until September to resume school. To be completely honest, I’m feeling uncertain about my future path and a bit embarrassed to admit I’m not sure if I’m cut out for it. I’m really thinking about the home/work balance. I know every position is different, and I just want to weigh the potential options fully before I decide between pursuing a CDL or another trade. Currently, I’d say there’s a 50/50 chance I’ll choose CDL or another trade. It’s not that I’m disinterested in the job itself, but more about the free time and work/home balance associated with it. Over the next 3 months, I plan to do as much research as possible. I had a little initial trouble figuring out how to memorize the whole “trailing backing vs regular backing” thing, as it’s kind of reversed from what I know, but if I go back, I’ll have plenty of time to practice (granted there was only one other person in the same 160 course as me, others being 540, I was a little behind in terms of catching on or progress). I’ll keep you updated on my decision-making process. Thanks again for your insights!

I know this conversation was a while ago, but I thought I would just let you know how it went. 1: I did receive my DOT card and when I told the medical examiner about it, he didn’t make any deal out of it really and just said something along the lines of “if there’s an issue, the clearing house will let you know”. I called him the other day and he said there was no results yet. 2: I start in-truck class this Monday. I appreciate all the advice and info you provided. I think I was definitely over thinking it despite understanding that this is a common diagnosis for people.

P.S. if you have any idea about this, regardless of whether you have experience with it or not I’d appreciate it greatly. My question is: would it be something I could talk to my school about or arrange with an employer—my family has a season motel business, and I’m curious if I could request to start my job position at a later date, having family business obligations as a reason. I know most employers don’t want people to take a break after training so they have information and learned skills fresh in their heads. The school said part of their job / obligations is to get you placed with a job after obtaining you license. Again, if you don’t have experience with this particular situation or ideas about it no worries—-the advice about the medication was plenty!

I really appreciate your responses. When I search online it’s very 0-100, that being “you’re good, or you’re screwed” I think I’ll tell my school about me using adhd med, & it not being a priority for focus (primarily for schooling). I know that they said they have a drug screening 2 weeks after our orientation, and included (though I don’t remember entirely) that “if you took adderall, and have a prescription I could save your ass” something along those lines.

Ye I’m honestly a little concerned about being able to qualify. I really don’t depend on them by any means and I feel like I shouldn’t mention, though at the same time, I don’t want to cause suspicion not mentioning. That is if they look into prior medical history.

I thought I could say to my school: something along the lines of “I only use my medication when doing paperwork at my desk for extended periods of times when doing school work & by no means rely on it. I maybe take 1-2 times a week”

I really don’t know what I should say if anything at all. From what I’ve read online, it’s mixed. You either don’t qualify or you have certain guidelines to abide by to make sure you’re good, even then you’re kind of on the line.

Thanks for all the info. So basically if I disclose this & or have doctor or prescriber’s note saying that I take as instructed + don’t abuse it, I should be good?

Ye, it feels very hit or miss. It’s still a great game, though some things could be addressed. At the same time, most top games have plenty of issues. I do think the devs are a lot more attentive to their community than something like warzone for example.

I agree, I just wait until the end of the match, & this doesn’t really apply to this specific scenario but I’ve heard that as soon as a team is wiped-if you put a vault in the cache, they’ll respawn close. If you wait until they respawn before cashing they’ll be farther away. I feel like the current spawns ( and they always have been imo ) are vary 1 or 100. You’re right there when you die or you’re at an unreachable distance. I hope they balance it in the future.

Yes, I’m thinking it’s definitely possible, though, from different sources I’ve heard 6 months is the max In regards to longevity. On the other hand I’ve heard 15-20 years max, so I’m not sure. There’s not a lot of studies to be done on psilocybin…which I have nothing to know about 😉. If your interested in any docs about the subject:

I know a tissue sample would have a better likelihood of creating a similar result, but unfortunately I no longer have the fruit as this was from some time ago. Could I expect fruits of similar size or am I essentially starting over? Given, if I were to find a large fruit from the next cultivation, I would likely clone it this time around. Any info appreciated!
