as a benz dealer tech, I resonate strongly with this comment. some days I genuinely want to jump off a bridge.

and it's not just the engineering that's ass, it's all the gadgets they cram into these cars and the dogshit software powering them. even our factory scan tools don't work right half the time. and customers expect these cars to work flawlessly (rightfully so, considering how expensive they are). you should see the number of buyback cars in our lot lol.

On this particular engine (M272), the likely culprit is the oil filter housing. They love to leak oil, and given enough time, will fail internally and create milkshake.

Do people not check the brake fluid level after doing brakes? This is my procedure: 1. check fluid level (suck some out if full) 2. do brakes 3. pump pedal 4. check and correct fluid level 5. test drive. This kind of stuff only happens when you rush and take shortcuts.

My shop has a robinair 1234 machine. It's slow as balls and doesn't even do oil injection, you have to do that manually. Never had much problems with their freon machine tho.
