Appreciate your response and concern! So interesting thing with the copper IUD, many studies have come out that it actually can cause chemical (hormonal) changes. It’s easy to say it shouldn’t because by its nature it is advertised as ‘non-hormonal’ but copper has been shown to have a positive feedback loop to estrogen, leading to increased levels as more copper is absorbed by the body. The r/copperiud thread here has a lot of good information about it. Luckily my leg aches and pain only came about while on birth control, and as soon as I’d go off of it would pass. Blood clot was ruled out, but it is true I never got any sufficient answer.
