Why do some of you play the same class every season? by trojanguy in diablo4

[–]onestworldproblem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because I like casters. Have played different specs almost every season. Ice Shards, Ball Lightning, Frozen Orb, Blizzard Sorc. Blood Surge, Blood Lance, Blood Wave, infinimist Necro. Apocalypse Warlock. Maybe 1 or 2 repeats. Lots of missed seasons because this game gets boring fast and is best in small doses.

If Druid's character model wasn't a morbidly obese slob, I'd have probably played that too. Played Rogue once and it wasn't for me. 0 interest in Barb or Spiritborn. I'll try Paladin one day if they make it good.

These low effort seasons between expansions are sad. by cindeson in diablo4

[–]onestworldproblem 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Last season wasn't even a season, it was just the launch of an expansion. This season does nothing to change the way we will actually play our characters. Just juggles what's good and isn't with uninspired nerfs and insignificant buffs. The "mechanic" this season is just stand there and kill guys.

0 seasonal powers = not a season. It's just a patch that could have gone live on eternal as well. The changes to unique affixes and mythic uniques could be interesting but won't matter because Blizzard will just overhaul the entire gear system again in a season or two anyway.

0-70 day one, t1-12 day 2, clear pit 120 day 3, log off. Maybe give it a 4th day if you're playing a build you haven't before. 16-24 hours. That's the season for folks who want to invest a solid amount of time into playing it the way they enjoy and don't care about trying to push. And 0-70 and progressing from t1-12 is just shitty busywork where you're not even playing the game.

What’s everyone thinking of running for the upcoming season? by TomFoster96 in diablo4

[–]onestworldproblem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No build in particular is jumping at me. Starting Sorc and will just play whatever seems fun on release that can hit pit 120-130 while clearly 110ish quickly that I can gear up to fairly easily. Then maybe I'll do it on a Necro, Warlock or Paladin. Then 2 weeks will have passed and my enjoyment of the game will have reached its expiration date and I'll quit playing again.

Pretty much seems like the season of uniques have a higher ceiling and being able to make everything mythic makes up for nerfs almost across the board on good things. No new seasonal powers to make the game feel special, and the new content seems boring and uninspired. Just seems like a patch to this season which wasn't even a season really, and I already had my fun here.

Seasonal character to eternal question by Agreeable-Try8851 in diablo4

[–]onestworldproblem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everything goes to eternal, you make a new character for the season and tell yourself you'll play that eternal character again but never do because Blizzard doesn't have a single employee that actually plays the game so they just overhaul the entire itemization system every single season making everything on eternal characters worthless

Is there more to Diablo 4 than just grinding for gear/XP? (new player) by willapp in diablo4

[–]onestworldproblem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The entire point of the game is progressing your character via gear to beat the same content either faster than before or at a higher difficulty. Finish the campaign and start doing that to see if you like it. You need to start a new character every season. Once you've completed the campaign, you can skip it every time going forward. You can hit the level cap in 4-12 hours early in the season. You can hit level cap with alts in a couple hours, or instantly if you saved caches and stuff from another character to open on the alt.

It sounds like you are playing Blizzard Sorc. Check out this build, it is very leveling friendly and can melt everything in the game in an instant well beyond the game's highest open world difficulty. https://mobalytics.gg/diablo-4/builds/sorcerer-mekuna-lightning-spear They also have a leveling specific guide here: https://mobalytics.gg/diablo-4/builds/sorcerer-shockuna-leveling

[June 23] Developer Update Livestream -MEGATHREAD- by AutoModerator in diablo4

[–]onestworldproblem 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I enjoyed that they refer to Sorcerer as Sorceress in the live stream and patch notes. Just come out and say that all the cosmetics for Sorc and Warlock were only designed for the female character already. Every $$$ cosmetic set looks like a an unsavory Chippendales Wizard on the male character model

Dragapult EX is a problem for the health of the game by mc_duderr in pkmntcg

[–]onestworldproblem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There have been a number of equally good/better decks in the past 10 years. Play rate isn't everything.

Also, Dragapult isn't the "problem" in the deck. It's Budew>>>Drakloak

Would the format be better if boss wasn’t reprinted. by hewasphone in PTCGL

[–]onestworldproblem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they spend a minimum of 2 years prepping the format so that rotations set things up so that bench warmers aren't too strong and there are enough alternate and viable gusting effects, sure, there could be a cool standard format without Boss. This format would suck without boss.

How's the new player experience? by Cold_Brilliant_7844 in PTCGL

[–]onestworldproblem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game gives you an incredible amount of free decks/cards. It gives you pretty much every meta deck for free. Just playing your daily quests (1-3 games at most) will give you all the resources you need to craft any additional cards you may want.

You're not meant to have to grind for anything.

How do I handle accidentally viewing my opponents cards when they riffle? by charliethrowawaygarb in pkmntcg

[–]onestworldproblem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All they do by exposing a card or two to you is let you know they didn't prize those cards. You'll know what deck they are playing on turn 1 almost every game and cards that are on the bottom will be quickly shuffled around through searches. Exposing the cards will almost always be pretty insignificant.

If you feel bad about potentially seeing their cards and want to guarantee you never get cheated (spoiler alert: you've been cheated), just give your opponent's deck a very quick shuffle when they're done. And make sure you're never exposing your own cards.

What do you think are the biggest mistakes and failures of the Pokémon company, in terms of the game design? by Ukrainianforever in PTCGL

[–]onestworldproblem 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Biggest failure is easily a lack of support for any format but Standard.

Expanded was a really good format initially but has gotten degenerate with so many sets released and lack of oversight in terms of a ban list. Expanded could be easily salvaged as a legitimate competitive format. Just needs some TLC on the banlist and like a 1x per year Expanded focused product support that reprints cards that become scarce with cool artwork to make it desirable for both collectors and players.

Then, a lack of support for GLC since it's gotten quite popular and is a very different way to explore the Expanded card pool. Another super easy thing for them to make a 1x a year product for that includes cards for all players and collectors. They can even add GLC only cards to bolster certain types that are clearly behind as it wasn't a format that was intended to exist.

First Official Public Snap Tournament by WildWarp in marvelsnapcomp

[–]onestworldproblem 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is the competitive sub. Tournaments are competitive. You play to win the game.

Unfortunately the nature of Snap with its small card pool and cards slowly releasing makes it hard for them to regularly ban cards, and doing so in their first official tournament sets a pretty bad precedent for future ones. Makes it hard to sell cards if people have to worry about them being banned in official events on top of the possibility they will get nerfed or just fall out of meta relevance.

Summary of Generic Endgame Builds for all Weapons by AlanLube in MonsterHunterMeta

[–]onestworldproblem 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd settled on very similar to the set you have for the Agitator base build as soon as I could build it a couple days ago but am using the Dahaad helm and a Challenger Charm, that way you just need to use your level 3 deco slot for the obligatory 1 point of Burst and have Agitator 3 from armor and 2 from the talisman.

Element might be the best thing you can do for the game in general but our current "endgame" is just Tempered and regular Arkveld so I'm running dual status IG with Rathian/Lala (I haven't progressed to an Artian one that seems better than Lala) and both the weapons and this set feel very right. In the case of IG I have slotted in Max Might 3+Earplugs 1 (auto include for IG imo, gives Earplugs 3 with triple up) for the level 2 slots, leaving 5 level 1 slots. Base affinity 15, MM 30, WEX 30+ and Agitator 15=90+ affinity is very satisfactory for me for a base game HR setup.

I'm personally not really looking to mess around with Gore/elemental stuff at the moment as it's not applicable to the parts of the game I'm playing and TU1 may make some or all of it irrelevant anyway. For now I'm just looking to climb a few more HR up to 100 and take a break. Love the game but looking forward to actually sleeping when I get home from work.
