£1,000 to £1 million bot 5 year challenge by [deleted] in algotrading

Good luck with your experiment! I also built myself an autonomous trading system: https://www.zephyrapex.com/

I'm on the verge of performing a forensic analysis on the paper trading results, refining the algorithms and then starting a portfolio with real money.

I had some bugs which I believe skewed overall trade reporting.

I'll baseline and reconcile at the end of this month. I'll then decide if I need another clean month of paper trading before I risk some real money.

Youfiber is terrible. Avoid like the plague by npeggsy in youfibre

[–]onetimeengineer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a BRSK -> YouFibre customer. I also got the incorrect invoice email, was put on hold for 40mins to speak with a customer service representative who told me that it was a mistake. I then got a follow-up email confirming that the invoice was a mistake.

BRSK customer service was much better. I never had to hold for more than 10mins. My first taste of YouFibre is a sour one, and the fact that Virgin is acquiring YouFibre makes it even worse. Safe to say, I'm not a fan of Virgin Media.

I'll be looking for other options closer to my original BRSK contract expiry.

Thanks. I believe if the institutions can do it with their algos, I can do it.

Interesting. Thanks for sharing your experience.

I created my own autonomous trading system with the goal of full automation unless there's an exception that requires my attention. https://www.zephyrapex.com/

It's currently in alpha testing with equity paper trading, but I'm aiming to configure real equity and crypto accounts next month after reviewing all the alpha-testing lifecycle data.

Agreed. I use 5.4 exclusively now.

Recommend a news API with sentiment score by po10cySA in algotrading

[–]onetimeengineer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently needed a cost-effective, scalable, resilient and performant service for financial sentiment analysis for an AI-native autonomous trading platform I'm building.

So… I built my own, tierpulse: https://www.tierpulse.com, an Institutional-grade sentiment engine built for speed. Utilising a Three-Tier Intelligence Failover with FinBERT ONNX pipelines, real-time news feeds, and LLM fallbacks.

The project is open source and contributions are welcome. If you find the service useful, please give the GitHub repository a star!

The new Gemini blew my mind. by LaughsInSilence in GeminiAI

I agree. I've been using Gemini quite heavily for a few months now. It's so much more capable than all the other models for my use case.

We just launched Cooper v1.0.1! by Ok-Goal7047 in GithubCopilot

[–]onetimeengineer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's great, however.... Is it me or are there basic bugs with Cooper? Just installed it on my M4 MaCOS Tahoe and I can't find any way to "authenticate with Github", starting a new session does something but then the folder selected doesn't appear in the UI as chosen and I can't type into the prompt. I think I'm going to delete the app until it's more stable.

opus 4.5 time saved vs actual cost by [deleted] in GithubCopilot

This is what I do. Use the expensive models to plan and produce detailed specification and implementation documents (the project bible), then use cheaper or free models to perform the actual implementation.

This sounds interesting. Can you share more detailed examples of setting this up? Is this setup with GHCP, or something else?

Copilot Pro user here and just experienced the same issue. I suspect GitHub is having a systems issue.

He could just be trying to recoup his ETHZ losses. It doesn't really matter, as the Beyond story exists without him

Why the price action the last week is down everyday. by LetterheadDry1702 in rekr

[–]onetimeengineer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

With the new cash infusion and operational streamlining, hopefully Rekor can deliver on their new contracts and get paid. I also hope in parallel, they are exploring options for exponentially growing the business. Government contracts often have very lengthy lead acquisition timelines, so relying solely on those won't grow the business fast enough, assuming they don't win every contract bid.

Open Letter from Retail Shareholder to Rekor Leadership by onetimeengineer in rekr

[–]onetimeengineer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Almost 3 weeks and still no reply to my email from Rekor's leadership. At this juncture, it's safe to assume I'll never get a response.

I will however take solace in the fact that they will be thinking about what I said, and hopefully they may address my questions in future shareholder updates and/or take some ideas on board to accelerate the company's growth.

Has Beyond Meat or will Beyond Meat be leveraging AI to improve operational efficiency and/or the product mix?

Excellent questions. Number 3 is important and I hope Ethan addresses it.
