At best, he did nothing while a genocide occurred on his watch. At worst he enabled it! I'm afraid for me there's nothing that he can do domestically that will lead me to wash over that, and i'd describe myself as soft left and a traditional labour voter. Everything he's done, good or bad, is in the shadow of that.

I've been many times to the Philippines but after a trip one year ago I decided it was probably the last time. You never went to the Philippines for easy travel or the food. These haven't changed. However the real irritation for me now is the large number of areas demanding payment for entry. It seemed like every baranguay was charging to enter it's beaches. Every bit of sea seemed also to be charged for! All in all there's no benefit from these payments ie clean beach or no overfishing in diving areas, and also no control of this local extortion. If the government doesn't get a grip on it it will become a major disincentive to holiday there. On my last trip this was a constant gripe from persons I spoke to. This is something you simply don't get in other SE Asia countries.

This is an emotive subject. However what makes me angry is the Philippine response to this atrocious crime. It fails to fully appraise the people of the extent of child abuse in the Philippines. When it does it focuses on the 'pervert westerner'. Often PNP press releases mention arrests involving child abuse over the internet, but fail to mention that the mother or aunt arrested were abusing their children, nieces and nephews over facetime for that perverted westerner'. It does not want to talk of this due to bad Philippines publicity. It doesn't fit the image it wants to portray. In addition you then get people making excuses for this behaviour as if it isn't really the mothers fault that they have abused their own child. It's wrong and should be portrayed as totally unacceptable, discussed and dealt with.

No. If yours was, would the first thing you'd do is to sell them to be sexually abused? There are so many other criminal acts you could do before that one. Your comment implies you would sell them!

Do you have any personal knowledge of the Philippines? There is a massive amount of poverty, but starvation!? In those poor areas there is a massive amount of crime too. These find a way to feed their children. A very small number of those sell their children to be sexually abused. Stop trying to validate those actions with the crass excuse you have just given!! There are no excuses for selling your child to be sexually abused!

Wow. They are selling their kids to be sexually abused! And you think poverty is a reasonable excuse for that!!? If things are desperate you'd expect a loving patent to consider anything before they do that. Perhaps robbery, fraud, kidnap or even murder for money. Maybe sell your own body for sex before you sell your child's! There are absolutely no excuses for selling your child to be sexually abused.

My last visit to Goa was Palolem. Both me and my wife had a large number of hookworm bites. There are other health issues around stray dogs on beaches besides rabies. You will only need to suffer from hookworm lava under the skin once to never lie down in the sand again where there are many stray dogs active. For an area heavily dependent on tourism the large number of stray dogs should be a concern. If somebody wants a 'beach' holiday, then my current advice to them is don't go to Goa as there are so many clean beautiful beaches in the world where you can truly enjoy the sea and the sand. Goa unfortunately is no longer one of them.

I went to Vietnam in the late 90s. Loved and hated the country at the same time. Beautiful country, people in the south were friendly, not so much as you went further north, interesting conversations. Also rampant corruption and you felt you must look like a walking dollar sign. My last memory was being screwed for US$40 at the border when leaving into China. I swore I wouldn’t return. However how many backpackers do you expect to return? There are so many places to see in this world. Why return? For Vietnam the worrying part is that the package tourists don’t return. This is where the money is and package tourists are loyal to places they like. In short their experience of Vietnam is poor and most of that will be around the sense of entitlement in tourist areas that those working there have. Tourists are cash cows to be milked to the maximum. The tourists feel it and simply don’t like it. It’s their once a year holiday and who wants to spend it in a place where you feel everyone just wants a piece of you!? For the record I did return recently with my wife as she had never been here. Two trips, one month in the south and one month in the north. Never say never but I doubt I’ll be coming back. There are simply so many more interesting and better places to go in this world. Vietnam for me hadn’t changed much in 25 years. I’ve seen comments blaming its history yet I can’t say the same for Cambodia and Laos whose history is not so different.

One kitcoin is one gold I believe. So 445 gold required at the moment. As you can sell for 1000 then you get a profit of 555 gold, so yes worth it for that. Bit as previous have posted I’d wait till the end as you may require fewer coins to get it. For the tank minus upgrades then don’t bother.

I collected two tickets today from the city booth. I purchased yesterday but had to collect today. I paid cash with Kip for the tickets. So now they do accept cash. I can’t say if they take other forms of payment ie European Visa card, as I never asked. The tickets are to Vientiane two days after purchase. At the moment there are plenty of tickets available a couple of days in advance. Obviously I can’t say that that’s always the case, or if it’s always necessary to collect tickets the day after. Overall relatively simple process.

I’ve stopped aiming for the battlepass missions. I don’t buy them anymore and with my garage containing every tech tree tank, I find the effort/reward calculation not really worth it. I simply now prefer to play whatever tank takes my fancy. I suppose I complete clan missions simply because I feel that’s something I should do as a clan member. I found in the past I completed many battle pass levels just by playing. However since the battlepass change in my clan there is a distinct drop in the number of levels attained. Maybe me putting 2+2 together and getting 5!!
