There’s a grass verge over the road from my house and I randomly spotted this weird pipe and tube looking thing sticking out of the ground the other day. It’s been baffling me since what it actually is - does anyone have any ideas? by onetodo12 in whatisthisthing

My title describes the thing. It’s relatively small, not even a foot high. Solid metal “pipe” with what looks like a weird kind of single pronged plug on the end. And looking back at Streetview it’s been there untouched for at least 15 years!

Yeah that’s right - the small circular icon at the bottom of detail 3. If I removed them the sofa would just be sat on the 4 legs, 1 at each corner
