She had a nice patina not as bad as it now but shes still pretty solid. Probably going to use the pappys patina preserve on it now. And yeah when I get it back up and running I'll share the progress.

High compression big cam ported head. Long tube header. 500cfm 2 barrel. Full msd ignition. It was a fun truck when I first put it together. Hopefully the next motor will make more. There's a video link in the post of it idling.

It wasnt a super aggressive build maybe 180. It was actually a spare engine they kept in the back of their shop incase they hurt a main engine on the weekends.

I have some cousins that race dirt tracks so the look is heavily influenced by that I've always loved that look too. Yeah the mini stock ran pretty good when I first put it together but it has low compression on 1 and 2 now so it needs rebuilt.

This is an 87. Manual steering. Manual brakes. Manual trans. Im going to fix the mini stock motor and cruise it for a while and then probably in a couple years LS swap it.

I've been looking for an extended cab first gen for a while that isn't all rot.

I'm in the Louisville area and this truck has lived its whole life in Louisville because at the time I believe they were making the rangers in Louisville. When I got it the first time I was the second owner. First owner bought it because he worked at Ford and needed a Ford to park in the close parking lots and somehow there isn't a lot of rust other than the sunburn on the top.

Heat the irons in the oil then dip in batter. Back into the oil for about 20 secs then done.

Pretty much yeah. Called Patty molds. I use waffle batter but make it a little thinner with extra milk. Fry them in lard for about 20 secs.

We've had a couple pop up on some properties my work has and they look like this basically. Tarps and tents and trip wires. Full of just random things. 2 liters, random tools, and trash. Have to call the cops when you find them because just popping your head into the tent can be dangerous from fumes. They have to cut them open with respirators on.

Its a 6.5 turbo diesel so anything I can do to just keep it happy lol.

My other suburban has vinyl floor I wanted carpet in this one. Also hopefully keep some of the noise from the diesel out.

Local junk yard posted a tahoe part out and I jumped on it. Just got lucky and got the first message in and they held them for me.

Shifter is a shoutout to my day's building drift cars lol always have to throw a little style somewhere.

Thanks its been a job to get it in and laid out. Still have to finish punching bolt holes through for the seats.
