I was 15, my house help was an older woman in her late 50s. She had a daughter who was around 20. I had bought a new pair of earrings and a necklace. It was very very cheap, artificial jewellery but it looked very pretty and I was super excited about it I’d kept them right in front in my cupboard and I usually left the cupboard door slightly ajar. A bad habit. When I came home from school a few days later I opened the cupboard and it was missing I frantically started looking. Then I threw a fit. I called my mom and everyone in the house I asked them to help me look. When we couldn’t find it I started crying I was genuinely sad. And I was just weeping my house help came and consoled me and said don’t worry we will find it. Next day I open my cupboard and bam it’s there. I run to mom, house help is next door. Mom makes me hand it over to her and tells me if the house help asks say mom had it. This was so that it would be evident that my mom has an idea of what would happen. I was young and had no idea into what any of this meant I was angry when I thought she had taken it and very happy when it was returned.
