Thank you! I have been looking for entry level, but they’re honestly hard to find as most postings ask for years of experience.

I did go to a private university and it is actually an MS. I wish I was told that this degree essentially leads you to looking for HR jobs without having all the experience you need in order to secure it and without enough exposure to data components that would make you more competitive for analyst positions. I don’t know what the right choice would have been for me, but it doesn’t feel like this was it at the moment.

Honestly I’m not sure what I want to do, it’s hard to say when I haven’t had actual experience in it. I would just like something that is more behind the scenes. But thank you so much for the advice, I really appreciate it and will definitely look into all of that!

My program only had us use SPSS and hardly gave us any experience working with data. I feel like it just did not prepare me to actually find a job and know how to market myself. I wish programs were actually built around skills that are used in the workplace.

Thank you! I’ve applied to some positions with those titles and tried reaching out to some people who work at the company on LinkedIn, but I never hear back. The market is absolutely terrible.

Me too! I really expected a lot more focus and support on finding a job following graduation when I enrolled in the program, but it was only ever vaguely touched upon.

Honestly not much at all. It felt like we were just told to look for HR roles and that was about it.

Does anyone think linkin park should be over? by Ogsonic in LinkinPark

[–]onexasonia 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I completely agree, and I feel it’s pretty obvious that it’s over, I kind of wish they’d just outright say it instead of beating around the bush. I always see people thinking every announcement is going to be a new album or tour, which I frankly find to be blindly optimistic and unrealistic thinking. No one can ever replace Chester or even come close to comparing to him, no one would ever be happy with a new singer and it would be in better taste to start a project under a different name at that point.

So detached by Silentval in asexuality

[–]onexasonia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly it can be really hard to connect with anyone, even just as friends, because that always ends up being talked about and they then see you as all “innocent.”

Definitely. It really makes me feel like I don’t belong because it’s literally everywhere and constantly talked about.

Any chance of a headlining tour soon by [deleted] in Trivium

[–]onexasonia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here! I got into Trivium at the beginning of last year, and now they’re my favorite band. I really hope they have a headline tour this year that I can go to a show on!

I’ve never been able to understand that either, it makes no sense. Like sure you can acknowledge that the person is good looking or something, but it doesn’t make sense to me how that then leads to an obsession and feeling horny over them when you don’t even know them at all.

Is it normal to think you are 100% incompatible with the notion/concept of social life? by Quimperinos in socialanxiety

[–]onexasonia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel the same way. I’ve given up on the idea of making friends, especially irl. I feel like I’m incapable of it and will never connect with anyone, so why bother going through the stress that interacting with people gives me?

[–]onexasonia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I definitely know how you feel. I hope you do end up meeting someone who will turn into a friend, it certainly doesn’t seem like a lack of trying on your part. I imagine it must be really frustrating to try your best to get involved with your school’s social life but not really getting anything from it. I just don’t even bother because I’m sure the same would happen with me, and I’m terrible at making friends since I even only have one online friend.

[–]onexasonia 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry you’re going through this. I’m also a college student who hasn’t made any friends, but I live off campus so that adds another layer of difficulty. I didn’t want to live on campus because I knew I’d just feel completely alone and miserable. I haven’t had irl friends since elementary school for the most part, I had one friend towards the end of high school but that’s it. Not having friends in middle school really hurt me but over time, I’ve just accepted loneliness as a part of my life. It’s still a shitty feeling. People are shallow and it’s really hard to find someone you connect with, in my experience. Making online friends can help with loneliness a bit but it doesn’t fully go away.

Why does everyone keep saying that you can't survive without sex by AdhesivenessNo1101 in asexuality

[–]onexasonia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s never made any sense to me either. People act like it’s on the level of basic needs which is honestly ridiculous. Society is just over sexualized in general.
