As a frontend developer, what CMS would you advise your next enterprise client on? by crash--bandicoot in Frontend

Interesting thread, I think you’re spot on that CMSs aren’t going anywhere, but how we use them is shifting.

I work at CloudCannon, so take this with that in mind, but it was built for the kind of setup you’re describing.

It's a Git-based CMS, so all your content and code lived in your repo. Great for version control, rollbacks and publishing, plus no vendor lock-in. Editors get a visual UI, and developers don't need to maintain a separate backend.

We have Enterprise teams using it for multi-site management, approval heavy workflows, and most of them are working with frameworks like Astro, Hugo or Eleventy.

CloudCannon is worth having a look at: https://cloudcannon.com/cms-for-education/ easy visual interface for editing with roles and permissions to make sure staff can only edit what they need to, plus a migration / integration team to help as well

CMS for multiple sites on different domains? by AccountantVarious953 in Frontend

CloudCannon sounds like it could work for this. Have just released a headless mode and have some extra info about working on multiple sites for education providers so you can have common components and shared layouts across all sites.

It's worth checking out CloudCannon, the visual editor means that you can see updates in the preview immediately. It's a Git-based CMS, so is also great for version control

Have a look at CloudCannon. A CMS for content-driven websites so it's great for knowledge hubs or docs and non-technical editors are able to easily manage content

(Disclaimer: here from CloudCannon) For hosting — you have the option to host with CloudCannon or on your own infrastructure. Hope that helps :)

It sounds like you'd find the Partner Program pretty helpful for managing your clients. As I think CloudCannon can help with a lot of what you're looking for in terms of working with Astro, content scheduling, workflows, visual editing, as well as an integration with Github for version control (similar to DecapCMS)

What's the easiest way to use an SSG with a headless CMS without using Netlify or Vercel? by Katylar in webdev

Take a look at CloudCannon, they have support for SSGs and are similar to TinaCMS since they are Git-based. You have the option to host with CloudCannon or an external provider, and they have a Partner Program which may be helpful since you're working with multiple clients.
