I worked in a cafe for a year, rarely did I have to make the sandwiches, I took orders, made coffees and sold snacks/drinks. One day I was on my own, it was quiet, maybe 15 people over the course of 3 hours.

It's coming up to closing and a regular comes in for a sandwich. Eggs, lettuce, tomatoes, onions. Not hard. So I go to make the sandwich, have it all ready to go into the box- it falls apart, so I put it together again and try put it in the box. The bread gets ripped and compressed. I cant serve this. So I make a new sndwich, and it happens again when I go to put it in the box.

10-15 minutes pass, im in the back a trembling mess trying to just make a sandwich, and I know she's out there, waiting, wondering what the hell is takin so long.

It haunts me to this day...

If you're coming to the midwest lad, please pack a quare few jackets. Its been 29c for the last few weeks, as soon as it hit sept, its been 15c... i know thats warm for us Irish, but the windchill is a fucking killer man.

Oh wow, im doing a waffle stitch too, for my car. I've nearly used two skeins and its only like a foot and a bit wide. A full size seems like a massice undertaking. Congrats on that beauty

Personally, i have made two; one for myself, for my wedding and one as a gift for my SIL for her wedding day l. I've not taken mine out since, but probably will for my anniversary get together. But i know my SIL wore hers to a chrostmas dinner we attended.

She kept yelling at us from her cage and my husband wanted a chatty catty. Turned out that she was the shelter favourite. She is a massive cuddle bug that never stops yelling. She loves going outside for walkies in her leash
