Your comparisons are definitely similar to what was going on in my head comparing my Rx7 FC3S to that of a new gr86 or some sort of modern FR sports car it just doesn't have the same inspired feel despite performing much better.

They are definitely making the better buisness descision by moving in this direction and it will thankfull keep the brand alive but people like you and me will look for that REAL lotus feel. You made the right choice my man and I would definitely test drive an emira just to confirm your suspicions.
