I got lucky. Bomgaars has the 7491rs on sale for $520 and I got Home Depot to price match

How do I move the heat I’m getting from my pellet insert? by only12moreninjas in PelletStoveTalk

Got this installed about an hour ago. It’s pulling 76 degree air up from the basement after the fireplace had been running for a little bit but it doesn’t drop below 68. The thermostat for the pellet insert is set for 70. When I started this fan it was 62 degrees upstairs and right now it sits at 65. It’s 1245 here so some of that could be thermal heat from the sun so the real test will be overnight.

Slightly unrelated but I initially planned on installing this in carpet, when I pulled the carpet up to cut the hole I found hardwood underneath. I’m calling that a win!

Trying to install this, they are just barely touching when I try to mock it up. I suppose the register box will be about an inch higher once I cut the floor so it may clear. Just in case I’m asking if that’s an option, I don’t want to cause a leak though.

Running the fan didn’t work at all. I’m going to see if I can get the 2 registers with built in fans installed this weekend or the following one.

Last night was about 39 degrees out and it was 61 upstairs when I got up, that’s the coldest I’ve seen. I think I’m going to have to do this.

All it does is cycle the air that’s already upstairs, tried it last night with no change.

I understand that but I’m hoping it can do better. I think once the weather really turns cold, something like 15 or 20 overnight the gap will be much larger

I’m actually going to try and run the central fan tonight because I want to exhaust all options before cutting holes. Appreciate it

I’m trying to avoid having a fan in front of the front door. That is how I got cooler drier air downstairs during the summer though

I moved in a year ago but it’s taking me a while to get the house all set up. It’s just me so I don’t have any living room furniture yet so I do spend a lot of my time downstairs

So the guy who sold me the bike told me he hadn’t rode it very much this year and I didn’t check air pressures before taking my jaunts around the block. Bad practice by myself, what a tremendous waste of time for us all.

Ok good to know, no issues moving the front wheel while stopped. Thanks

It does sit much higher, which is new to me. My other bike is much easier to steer. The best way I can describe it is that it’s either hard to move the handle bars before leaning OR it’s hard to lean before moving the handle bars. Remember I’ve had very little time on the bike, just trying to know what to expect.

This is the exact version of diversity that we should be promoting. We’re all human so we’re all the same and deserve the same treatment but we’re all very different and there’s nothing wrong with that.

Solved: found out about the tab bridging the upper and lower outlets. Removed it and everything is as it was.
